The Imogene one uses a metaphor throughout that LITERALLY has two meanings, and the metaphor is one that I would NEVER expect taylor to use before, because I've very mature, and I think she would have been too scared of apprehensive to touch it in the past, but now she has the balls to, and it works EXTREMELY WELL.
The song with the video doesn't have two meanings, it's very clearly a relationship song. But when you play any sad song with a sad video, it will make you sad and make the video sadder. The video didn't change the meaning of the song really, just showed you how it worked in other contexts. If that's clearer and makes sense
