im quite curious, is your chart based on your plays a few months ago? it always seems to be songs released around the same time but a few months back.

Well, the thing is that during DiL's peak period, I was listening to other things a lot more, and it re-entered at the bottom of the list after the Grammy performance. I mainly listen to alternative and rock-based music, which means that country and R&B hits tend to move more slowly, with EDM and Top 40-centric songs going up at an average rate. There are rare cases where a country/R&B song moves up unusually fast, such as with "Play It Again" which took off and rose rather readily. In contrast, you have DiL and TIHWR, which have charted for the same amount of weeks as each other and have taken similar timeframes to reach the upper echelons. So when Drunk's turn to shine, it had already outlived it's welcome on most everyone else's countdowns.

Also, once a song hits its peak, it ends up retiring quickly to make room for more songs to chart. Otherwise, songs like Radioactive by Imagine Dragons, Closer by Tegan and Sara, and Still Into You by Paramore would still be charting. It's not an ideal system, but it keeps things from being stagnant.

And yes Jose, the chart is based off of a couple months ago at the moment. Trying to get caught up whenever I have access to my desktop.
