I had a conversation with a buddy two years ago, and i said Ashé will never EVER make it.
Look how wrong I was. Its not because I disliked her, bc I'm a huge fan of everything she's released prior to Aquarius, but I honestly did not she it happening for her at all, on a mainstream stage.
She deserves all the success she gets because its a brilliant album and a step-up from her mixtape's, although in a similar vein to what fans previously know.
She'll be the breakout star this Fall, like how Baby Jhésus was last year.
Last week's No. 1, Barbra Streisand's own duets album, Partners, slips to No. 3 with 127,000 (down just 35 percent).
Remarkably, Streisand has the smallest second-week drop for an album by an artist in almost four years. The last artist album to hold up better in its second week -- after a No. 1 debut -- was Susan Boyle's Christmas release The Gift, in the week ending Nov. 21, 2010. It actually rose by 5 percent in sales in its sophomore frame, likely owed to the set's seasonal appeal.
I don't really give a **** about charts, otherwise I would listen to the radio more than once a week. As I said, it's a nice form of validation but I don't really need it. Was planning on Barbra to snatch.
All hands on deck
All in front all in the back juss like daht, like daht

All in the front all in the back just like daht, like daht

Q. different trajectories yes, and a whole different musical climate, but do you think in how competively the industry currently is, LORDÉ's rise to A-list status in just under a year is greater than BOMTney and FameGa?
