I'm so done with ATRL's delusion that the only reason Taylor sold well is that she was appealing to country listeners. I'm sure she will lose some fans by ditching country, but not nearly as many as everyone is saying. Y'all act like she spent the past 8 years exclusively playing at The Grand Ole Opry and not being, you know, a damn a pop star.

That was for JT's comeback after a multi-year hiatus though. That was all hype.

However, I don't think it's a stretch to say Taylor could do it. She's done it twice already and the industry decline could very well not apply to her.

Maybe overall sales (though it's not like she's made a massive departure with her sound, she's always done pop inspired country) but I don't think it'll affect her first week sales.
