Rehab IS her lowest charting single from this era, but i mean, what do you honestly expect. If she would have kept that song "Hating on the Club" and if it was a hot song, that would have been a #1 as well if she would have released it. I mean, its still at #25 which is good, but not GREAT because Rihanna is known for producing #1 hits. So yeah I understand where you are coming from. But dont call it a flop or something of that nature.
It's some what of a flop...it's the same thing that happened with Mariah's "Bye Bye". But you're right at the same time, what's gonna happen with her next album? She better release it while everyone is gone again, THEN after that album she might actually have a nice chance to co-exist at the top of the charts with Beyonce & Britney, but she's not as acceptional as I thought.
Bye Bye was not a flop, it just wasnt a major hit. & the difference with that is it was Mariah's 2nd single & this is Rihanna's 8th but you'll probably find something else in a couple seconds to say why i'm wrong...

Thing about what you said. Rihanna released "GGGB" while Beyonce released "B'Day Rerelease" so i mean. Come on. Why does she have to release it when other singers are away? Honestly, if Rihanna, Britney, Beyonce were all out at the same time. They all release albums during the same month, Rihanna or Britney would become #1-#3, Beyonce would be #3-#6. Beyonce would have the #1 album, but RIhanna might have a good chance at finally having a #1 album in the US. Who knows. But it still has nothing to do with her releasing when Beyonce or anybody else isn't around.

Hmm. I wouldn't say "B'Day" was released at the same time as "Good Girl Gone Bad", "Get Me Bodied" was about done when "Umbrella" impacted, and Rihanna wasn't pushing major albums NOR did she have a strong fanbase then, that came with her RE-RELEASE. She'll definatly have a better chance this time around, but I just think she has more building to do, I thought that she was SET but then I see "Rehab" and think about "Confessions" & "E=MC2".

BTW, loving the stanning Recees, Lutionz, and Dani <3333333
Muther****ers can't even defend Rihanna without Ciara's name on it, DEAD. RNBSuperstar is the REAL stan up in here, hoes sit down and I don't even know what Soulutionz is doing...

Rihanna didn't have a strong US fanbase. She has an amazing fanbase internationally which means more IMO than having a strong fan base in the US. I mean, MOTS sold over 1.5 million international, and over 500k in the US. AGLM sold over a milli in the US and over 2.5 million internationally. GGGB was destined to get her a bigger fan base. It wasn't with the RE-Release because thats only 3 added songs. "Umbrella" went #1, "Don't Stop the Music" did as well. I just think GGGB was her official BREAKOUT album. She shredded that mold that Def Jam had her in. Trying to get her to be that new ISLAND GIRL, but thats not what she was destined for. The US isn't fond of the Island music (i am though). So, once she broke that mold, everything fell into place and the hits started rolling in. She's just growing up and maturing with every album. With time, comes learning, and with time, she will learn that she will have more hit singles, but she will have to do other things to make more money.
I think the reason that it's not getting great reviews is that the Timbaland/Timberlake sound is really passe now. At the time of GGGB's release, it was still fresh and hot, but now it's stale. People have moved on. I still think that Breaking Dishes and Push Up On Me are potential hits because I feel that the fit in better with the way pop music sounds currently. It's a shame that Hate That I Love You got released and Breaking Dishes didn't. Push Up On Me has always been my favorite but I'm glad she probably won't release it because if I heard it everywhere I would begin to hate it, and I don't want to hate Push Up On Me haha.
