It's still an embarassment to have her as a vegas act this early in her career. I'd rather be embarrassed for her and be able to see her than be embarrassed for her and be several oceans and continents away from her. I mean it's still a vegas act no matter how successful it gets. A WW tour with small theatres of capacity no more than 5k could be 100% sold out just as well ala the California Dreams Tour but Britney would probably charge more for tickets and get a higher gross.

I agree. The FF Tour felt so rushed. But she didn't wanna promote the album, they had to start the tour early otherwise she would just vanish for 6 months right after releasing an album.


P.S.: I saw your "Enrique's tour did better than Britney's" comment. It wasn't "his" tour only (Jennifer was huge then, and it was her first tour ever), so that's invalid. And are we sure it did better? "His" North America numbers may have been flawless, but worldwide it wasn't even close to sold-out.

He was talking about "flops" in general, as in he would prefer a "flop worldwide tour" than the successful Vegas we have. BUT we have never faced so much "flop" when it comes to her music than these last 12 months, so that's much too much IMO.

2 Celine Dion is a vocal legend not a pop star
3 Being a vegas act is what you do when you are planing to retire or have no star power left to compete with anybody else. She basically admitted she can't tour nor has any desire to.

Being a Vegas act isn't embarrassing when you're making bank and you've had hits within the past 5 years.

Britney's also the youngest resident headline ever which makes her a trailblazer in her field, something to be respected. It's what she's wanted for over a decade so I'm glad she's finally doing it, she won't care about the gross.

Did you even read what I said. The tour could still be a success if it was 100% sold out which is pretty simple to accomplish using small theatres of 5k capacity like Katy did instead of just sitting in vegas waiting for your fans to come. We are embarrassed cuz she is a vegas act now, a successful vegas act or a flop one doesn't matter, it's still a vegas act.

If we pretend her Bionic never happened, it's not really that bad. FF was successful and so was Scream & Shout. Vegas is doing great and she just released her own lingerie line. Not too much on the good sis.

1 If we really went by what Britney cares about we would not even bother to be her stans anymore.
2 It's like initiation, the beginning of the end of your career and she could have had a few more good years if she tried.
3 Nobody will respect you for singing in a Casino unless you were already respected before like Celine was for her vocals.

Vegas does not make you a flop.

The market of Vegas is shifting. It's becoming more hospitable for the young adult market, some of the biggest party/DJ events now happen in Las Vegas. Pensioners are not their demographic.

They should study the Army's ability to adapt any condition, atmosphere and change of any kind to their benefit. It's fascinating to observe.
