Yes, have you not seen how many new popstars always mention they are influenced by Britney? Y'all always try to bring her down because of who she is now but she's a pop icon and has been called that by several important people not only her stans.

Yes, she's pop royalty, because she's the most successful solo popstar of her generation. She in no way stands with Michael and Madonna in any shape or form. They are innovative pioneers, Britney is not. MJ, through his sheer talent and mind, reshaped the entire landscape of popular music in singing, the video art form, stage performance and musical style. Madonna, through her creative mind, had a main hand in reshaping the industry in the realms of female image, sexuality, musical themes and performance presentation. Britney was very popular for five years, then she wasn't. The only thing that has remained consistent is that she is tabloid fodder, but that's not a legacy.

But you cannot be serious, no matter what Britney goes though in her personal life or the success or lackthereof her forthcoming musical endeavors her LEGACY as a POP icon and, henceforth pop royalty is already cemented.

Sure she can further tarnish that legacy but no one can erase the impact she's had in pop culture or music in general.
