she is promoting 1989 not RED. She needs to perform new songs to promote the NEW album and promo singles don't hurt lead singles.
I know your point, 1989 as a pop album, the single release should be a little bit different, and I think you and I are among the people supporting earlier release. But "Shake It Off"'s chart performance is really a big surprise especially under ZERO promotion.
Now I'm a little bit hesitant, let's make it a topic for us to watch her iHeartRadio Festival performances: besides "Shake It Off", more new song? Or not?
I just started to check all threads about "Will Taylor be global" or similar, and i just started thinking how she keeps improving each era, and how they call her local to each country she slays in.
First she was local to the US
Then local to the anglosphere
And she is now apparently local to the Anglosphere and Japan
Even if she was the most global popstar out there, they would call her local to the world. Its laughable at this point
I want her to perform one new song and SIO to promote 1989 tbh. She can perform any previous materials for other songs XOX. Preferably not WANEGBT, LS and YBWM.
But Idk I don't want them to release studio version of that new song to iTunes yet, not before SIO's peak.
