It is a talent in a kind of way. It's almost like being a singer or a lawyer, you must understand the business you're in. Only the smartest ones succeed and make a name for themselves.

It takes hard work and a lot of determination to succeed in this business. Having a pretty isn't enough, otherwise every beautiful girl/guy would be making as much money as Gisele Bundchen who earns around $30 million every year.

The same applies to singers. Having a beautiful voice isn't enough, you've gotta understand the music industry.

Of course. I work around a lot of models and let me tell you, the ones without the talent are highly noticeable.

Just look at America's Next Top Model, most of them suck so bad. It's not just about being pretty, you have to know what to do with your body and how to make your face sell whatever it is you're modelling, whether it's a happy commercial face or a bland high-fashion expression.

If it was not a talent, it would not be such a select group of people.

That being said, it's not the biggest talent ever and it's rather simple, but still hard work.

depends on what you mean !if you mean generic modeling my answer is no , if you mean modeling like adriana lima , giselle bundchen , naomi campbell ecc... it's talent ,beacuse reaching that position isn't just beauty but also talent.
