I remembered this. Both songs were samples from the Tupac song. But I remember something about Jay not even being aware that Toni was using the sample, because it wasn't like her version was popular. I remember something about if he would've known he would've dueted with her. So maybe it was fate because he ended up dueting with Beyonce & look at them now.

For one, it's a sample. Not sure how it was "stealing her song". But poor that.
The lyrics and vocals are basically the same. Even songs with the same sample don't have the exact same backing track. And being released at the same time with the Def Jam connection makes it even more obvious.
