Why Can't the Disney/Nick Girls EVER Become Major Pop Girls?
Once upon a time, the Disney and Nick girls were considered a threat to major pop girls. However after countless failed attempts, some might say that this will never happen. Unfortunately the closest a Disney girl has gotten to major pop super stardom is Miley Cyrus.
Can the Disney and Nick Girls ever become major pop girls? Or should we just be content with what we have?

Ariana and Selena are both in great positions to become major pop girls if they play their cards right. Miley is, of course, VERY close.

Quick question, when were they ever considered threats to major pop girls? And honestly Miley and even Ariana just a little are the only ones that can become one. I actually consider Miley one

What doesn't Miley have to make her a major pop girl? Her accumulated box office gross is over $700m, sold over 22 million albums, has huge hit singles, hit tours, networth, top 30 on Forbes with every entry, even TIME cited her as one of the most influential artists twice while many 'major pop girls' have yet to make it once.
If there's something she's missing, I'd like to know. You don't have to be the biggest of the pop girls to be a 'major pop girl'.

I think Miley is very close to major pop girl territory, but Ariana is not. The rest of them are very distant, in my opinion since they have very little star power outside of their respective teen following.

Miley does have respect though, she may not have respect for her antics, but she has respect for her talent, success and how she treats all those people that think she's some sort of crazed former teen star that has gone off the rails

Because she doesn't have a Grammy?  Miley is respected in the industry (especially fashion in recent times) and everyone who's worked with her has had nothing but good things to say about her.
Just because she gets more troll comments and parodies than most doesn't mean she's a joke.

Tbh since PITUSA Miley and proved her status as a full fledged pop gurl. The Bangerz era tho just solidified that also I can see selena and demi and ari doing the same with next releases

Her entire era was built on said antics, though. I don't believe the GP takes Miley seriously at all unless she comes back with another tactic next era.

what do you mean? all of them have managed to get multiplatinum singles, #1 albums, sell out tours, award nominations, etc.. 'major pop girl' isn't a real thing, apart from their album sales not being AMAZING, their fanbases are all just as big as the other pop girls

LOL at respect tho, since ATRL considers a lot of female artists "pop girls" and they get even less respect than Miley and Miley isn't the only one with no Grammys so it doesn't make sense.
I mean you can say she isn't "respected for her antics" but Bangerz isn't her most succesful era and even if she got bad comments, she also got AMAZING comments about her voice and music. and she was more succesful even before, has a long career (longer than some of the so-called-pop girls) so IDGI.
Anyway, Ariana might get to this point. Demi needs better music and Selena well, she can become the new Britney if she wanted but she doesn't dance like her so IDTS.

Unless you've heard every opinion from the GP that comment will be disregarded, but are there people that don't respect Miley because all they think she's good for is antics? Yes, but the same could be said for Major Pop girls like Katy, Rihanna, Gaga ect..
So are they not major pop girls because opinions vary for them also? It's always gonna be harder for Miley not just because of her antics, but because of where she started and that's a fact
Not everyone is going to respect you, but people respect Miley's talent
