It's Ok If she goes to #2, she'll rebound back to #1, once she start promos in the US again. It's obvious Taylor wants that big album debut. Girlfriend doesn't want those anemic first week Album sales.
I like Taylor's strategy. Release 1 or 2 singles before your album drops, you wet the consumers appetite. You drop 5-6 singles, peeps think I've heard 75% of the whole album, I don't need to buy the album. cough** Ariana Grande.
She did great!!!

-Reached platinum in 2.5 weeks
-only the 22nd song to debut straight to #1 on the Billboard Charts.
-Broke some radio records
Whereas Taylor's the one that's releasing 3-4 promo singles.
