Give the song time before you start saying that since PnP (a very pop-leaning song) went top ten on urban radio.
Anaconda, in comparison to PnP, is doing very well on pop and urban. Yes, it is moving slowly, but not as slowly as PnP... And PnP couldn't even make it to the Top 40 of pop radio when it was basically created for them.
It's not moving slowly. It's actually rising quite fast on radio.
Nicki really deserved it. She has a bright future ahead of her so no matter. There have been many undeserving #1s in the past and Taylor with SIO is no exception. Hopefully, #1 is awarded to a better song in the coming week.

I feel like the only 2 reasons PnP was picked up on Urban radio was because of the BET performance and flopping on Pop radio. Urban doesn't like to play Pop songs unless they're either dying out, or in the rare occasion, cater to both completely (Blurred Lines, Single Ladies etc.).
I'll give it some time, but a high peak on Billboard shoulda at least helped Anaconda on pop a lot more than it did
IMO, SIO stole a lot of the thunder away from Anaconda. They just now have recently started playing it more, but for the week or so after SIO dropped... Anaconda has really ****** updates. I don't think it'll go top ten on pop, but it is aiming for Top 20 easily.
