No idea about rolling effect and radio since I'm a radio flop, but pretty sure it's something to do with how if it is massive one day, then low the next it can go into a negative or something while it's still positive. I dunno how to explain it. Someone else will.
As for Jack Antonoff, he said this in an interview when asked if he has worked with Taylor on 1989:
