A lot of this has to do with where you live though. I live in a place where probably like 80% of people here are white. The rest are mostly Middle Eastern/Asian so most people have mostly white friends.

Like, if I was asked this.. Of my closest 7 friends, 0 are Asian. So for "simplicity's sake" they say I have 100 friends and say 0% of them are Asian... But that is not the case at all

100 friends my grade at school has barely 100 people.
But duh, that's why the 'I have black friends!!!11!1!1' thing gets said by white kids so much. It's something 'special' for them. But tbh, a lot of this stuff depends on the community you live in. I know my community has mostly white Jewish people in it, so most of my friends in school are white Jews even though I'm not white- though I am half Jewish (depending on what you'd consider a mixed race person- although I do 'pass' as a tan white person and people assume I'm white because almost everyone here is white ) that was a really long winded way of saying that people are shaped by the community they live in so I don't think it's a matter of white people choosing to not make black friends (but anyone who really wants a diverse circle can find it once they turn 10 or so tbh).

I only have 2 white friends and know a ton of black ppl who don't have any white friends and don't want any so that goes both ways.

Screaming at black people having no Asian friends. But this poll isn't surprising. People usually tend to stick to their race friend wise, I don't but a lot of people do. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

Very true. A person's community (and other factors) usually shape who they're friends/associate with and most communities in the U.S. aren't too diverse.

This study is trash, and it is not rocket science that most people of all races gravitate towards those who are more similar to them.
