Maybe the Sex book was risky for Madonna. But even that's debatable. I mean, is it really risky for a woman who marketed herself based on her sex appeal and looks to make a book...about sex? It's certainly something but risky is not what I'd call that. American Life was certainly not risky and most people would agree on that.

Anyway, I'd say the main pop girl risk takers are Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson and I agree as well with Aaliyah being mentioned. Not Madonna, though.

It doesn't seem like everything in the OP was something you had already read before. I mean, you came in here and commented on the social context of something that was clearly explained in the OP. there's no two ways about it - You either didn't read the OP or ignored what was said in the OP. Either way to me, that's unacceptable given the fact you said that you disagree with the OP. It's reasonable to expect that someone read something before they disagree with it.
Again, as per the reasons in the OP due to the social climate, erotica could have ruined Madonna's career. It would impossible for you to understand the social climate because I dare say you were not born yet or were very young however again, as per the OP it is documented, there is evidence of the social climate. So you see, you don't really get to say "it wasn't a risk" it is a risk by the very definition. You're entitled to your opinion but you're wrong. If I was to go through your actions, this is how they would look.
- See's a Dark_lorde thread
- Doesn't read the OP
- Makes a comment, already explained in the OP that wasn't read
- Says he disagrees despite overwhelming evidence
- Continues to disagree despite that fact your misinformation about Madonna being explosive was corrected.
BTW saying someone exploited a trajedy when they had lost close friends to it, is a repugnant thing to say.
In terms of american life, it is again by definition, a risk. Going against "America" which is what it was treated as, could have ended her career as evidence suggests (you do realises several careers have ended over that very topic)
Though, you didn't answer my question. I asked you to provided receipts of lady gaga being risky. (In some instances she HAS been risky) but you made that claim saying it had been scientifically proven, are you able to provide this scientific proof? I would genuinely like to read this scientific evidence that you, claimed?
If you're unable to provide this (it's not unreasonable to ask someone to back up their claim) that means, you came in here made incorrect comments about Madonna being exploitative, you came in here not reading the OP but saying you disagreed with it anyway, you came in here and made a claim about scientific proof that you're able to provide because it doesn't exist.
Given the above, I believe you only came in here to disagree because the title reads "Madonna" fair enough - I'm not surprised. While I can't stop you commenting in threads the only thing I can suggest would be to read them before you make comments, to not lie about science and to try and keep things (especially to do with tragedies like aids) at a respectable level. I feel that will be beneficial for you.
