Britney made her career off of gimmicks. You shouldn't pick on Bey for that reason.
I didn't say gimmicks were a bad thing It's just that some people can pull off gimmicks in a more subtle way. Beyst is not one of those people. The performance was nice though.
I don't think Gwen disliked the performance/ was being rude. It's not like she could Lady Gaga applause with a drink her hand...
I feel like JLo has loved Taylor ever since they performed Jenny From The Block together last summer. Lol
She was so being shady. The smile, the quick glance at her drink, the shady tapping.

Gimmicks are still gimmicks, and Britney's were so not "subtle" nor did she pull them off that way.
As a fan of artists who have never used gimmicks to further their careers, I can honestly say that Beyonce's exploitation of her daughter is utterly repulsive.
Gwen was totally the expert appropriator of her time btw. How she managed to appropriate Japanese, black, and Mexican cultures without a peep I'll never know. She was a Harajuku, a chola, a ghetto girl, all in one. And she had to nerve to claim Long Beach all the time when she's from Anaheim. This chick. I love Gwen. These gurls can learn from her
