Records I like - is that Taylor wrote a song for her High School Talent contest called Our Song. It ended up going Triple Platinum. Also she was a professional song-writer at age 14. She joined a brand new independent record label before they even had any furniture and ended up being the best selling American artist for more than the last half decade. The ultimate indie success story.
She wrote the entirety of the Speak Now album by herself and this went on to be the third highest selling album this decade in the US. There is no-one else who could achieve a 4 Plat album in America these days that they wrote herself. Taylor managed that at age 20.
She was also only the second Artist ever to be awarded the CMA Pinnacle Award. Taylor achieved that at age 23.
Taylor has published about 90 tracks so far and has about 48 that she has solo writing credits for. That is a lot of songs she has written, some acts get away with calling themselves singer-songwriters and yet only have written a handful of songs by themselves. Taylor has almost 50 solo penned tracks in the public domain (before 1989).
