Except none of those people sans from Pharrell (who she had worked with BEFORE he randomly blew up again this year) are what's "hot right now" in terms of sound and popularity. So I don't see how that's fishing for hits. If that's the case working with any producer at anytime is fishing for hits.
For example, DJ Mustard is the current trend in terms of sound and production AT THE MOMENT. Working with/releasing a song by him right now, in 2014, is clearly trying to get a hit. 2 years from now that won't be the case. Someone working with DJ Mustard in 2017 wouldn't be "caring about the charts" if his productions aren't THEE it thing anymore at that time.
