The Circus Era was perfect. They only dropped the ball with the fourth single, but I have a feeling that they had to release Radar for contractual reasons. Even so, there were definitely other songs from the album that deserved the single treatment over Radar. I actually like the Radar music video though, so it wasn't a complete loss. Overall, though, the Circus Era was just fantastic. It was great seeing Britney doing her thing again and she really seemed to be enjoying herself.

Agreed! She seemed to be having so much fun on tour, and how she cried on the opening night! Shame on ha for using Perez though, blergh.

Agreed the era had that magic back. I honestly thought that FF was gonna be her biggest era of all times when it first started. The first few days when HIAM debuted it felt like she was the ''it'' girl again.
Ugh stans of the pop world are so fake. During the Circus era you all were BASHING her and now you're praising it?
I appreciated at the time because I was glad that you know... she wasn't dead but I was never completely happy with what followed. Still when compared to FF, Blackout and BJ, Circus became a blessing in the skies. For example the GMA Circus performance that I thought was ok but mediocre now looks like a masterpiece when I remember the Big Fat Bass performance :X
Yea I never said they were to blame, I said they were horrible parents and deserve to rot for not properly caring for their child.
But you did?

Britney still has terrible parents no matter how much you blame her and I never blamed anybody besides her for the meltdown but let's not pretend like there weren't alot of factors that contributed to her bad judgements and decisions, horrible parenting being one of many.
Again...

Well her mother did basically throw away her childhood in an attempt to make her into a star so their broke family wouldn't starve to death. It was like Gladys from Drop Dead Gorgeous but without the Fierce edgy comedy.
... And again?

Wow Wow Wow. Wait just a minute there mr. I am all for Circus era music and how good she looked during it but you will not sit there and tell me that Britney was recovered. At best they put a band aid on her problems. Maybe if somebody bothered to let their daughter actually fully recover instead of asking dr Phil to visit her in the hospital with a camera
and push her into the studio, to do promo, to serve nudity, to go on her biggest tour yet she might have actually come back instead of regress into what became known as the Femme Fatallity era where everything was just except the music.
So now their "bad parenting" is also to blame for the messy FF Era?
And they were blindsided by Dr. Phil, he wasn't supposed to record anything, it was said many times.

Me too. All we have are "our own" assumptions and "rumors". The fact that her parents weren't doing good AS A COUPLE doesn't mean they forced Birtney to do anything. The actual proof we have is Britney very happy to be a "star" when she was a child and dancing and singing around her house in family videos.
The one time she was unhappy, during her Ruthless days, she went back home as soon as she complained. Then SHE was the one who wanted to return to the business, so, again, HER DECISION.

this father that 'saved' her also had her pushed back into the public eye a hot minute after she'd been taken away on a ****ing gurney, he only had one interest.

Well you bought Circus didn't you? Don't criticise his decision now when you've already endorsed it.
Expose HA.

Slapping a restraining order against that inhuman trash could have been accomplished by any lawyer. Taking your child off the gurney, seizing her assets and throwing her into the studio and working on rebuilding her career for money instead of rebuilding her life so she could reunite with her kids is not good fatherhood.
Oh well.
And you realize he did reunite her with her kids, don't you?

It's not that easy to take control over an adult, specially when there was no medical proof she was out of control. And I believe there wasn't.
I know that cause my family had to put my grandpa under a conservatorship thing because he was unaware of everything surrounding him due to medical illness and despite many medical records of his condition it was still not easy. He had gone kinda crazy really and he still tried to do his things normally, like going to the bank, taking loans and ****, my father and my grandma had to intervene, but it took months for it to actually pass legally.
Thanks for saving me the trouble to say that AGAIN.

say what you want about her dad, but at the end of the day, he was the one who saved her life and she would probably be dead if he didn't step in..and I will always be grateful for him.

I agree with Anthony completely. I know a lot of Britney's fans sympathize with her over what happened, but it's her fault. Accept it and move on. I don't exactly hold it against her because I do think people have the right to make bad decisions and mistakes and, after all, she's only human. But I think Britney failed to see that she wasn't the only celeb who was being exploited by the media and harassed by paparazzi - it happens to EVERY celebrity and many still manage to live their lives as peacefully as they can but Britney, unfortunately, didn't know how at that time.
Now, thankfully, she's calmed down and so has the paparazzi and media. She's no longer anyone's main target like she was 7 years ago and for that I'm glad (and so is she).
