I know it's such a shame because I really liked this season. If they didn't take a long break they would be on par with RHOC and maybe RHOBH, definitely not jersey or atlanta though.
If they didn't get rid off 4 housewives after season 4 and only castes aviva and maybe another new one (that's not as boring as heather or Carole) for season 5, the shows ratings would be on par and maybe higher than Beverly Hills. They should have kept jill, even though I hate her, she was a big name in the bravo world and brought the drama.
So true! I was watching on/off this season because they were such a DULL cast this season as a whole.
With those opening tag lines, I was pretty sure this would be the final season because the tag lines are usually always cheesy but these ones were like second hand embarrassment worthy.
Carole is really good in sound bite confessional interviews, but she really flops in the reunions. She seems very intimidated by the girls and ends up just mumbling her "drags" to herself.
Realistically, I could see Heather/Carole getting the boot. I feel like they'll keep Kristen one more season, ha seating position next to Andy was a bit telling.
Rumour is that everyone is getting fired except ramona and aviva. I wouldn't mind Luann staying and Kristen impressed me a bit last night. She brings the drama but her personality itself is not interesting.
I want jill or maybe kelly back, especially now that kelly is sane.
I still don't get how Kristen herself is so boring though. Especially since she's best friends with Brandi, you'd think she'd have some of that hot mess's personality traits.
Do we all use Legend Alex's real housewives recaps? She always spills the real tea
Eewwww no. She is the definition of THIRSTY and DESPERATE. She literally makes me cringe how pathetic she is still trying. Let it goooo, you got fired, move ooooon. She's the only housewife that I see still trying to pawn off the show.

And if any of you guys have been keeping up with RHONJ feel free to post in my thread.

nnnnN not you all dragging the good sis Alex like that.
I'm still fuming if they didn't recast so much in season 5 legend aviva would have become the kenya moore of RHONYC. I mean she basically is the star of the show now but she could have been so much bigger.
Her fuming face was the worst. Especially when jill walked into scary island in season 3. I didn't know if I wanted to puke or cry from laughing at how pathetic she was.
Aviva is an absolute moron, but she'll definitely be a part of this franchise for a long time to come... or as long as Andy's willing to put up with the abysmal ratings. I can't help but love to hate her. She's certainly earned her spot in housewives infamy with that one (obviously calculated) move. She can't drag or match the other girls' wit, but she certainly knows how to make a big spectacle.
The exciting thing about this franchise is that the newbies and kinda-newbies are really holding their own against the veterans. Kristen's the weak link and very few of her "big moments" were all that were that compelling, but she's definitely giving it her all at this reunion.
Ramona and Sonja continue to tarnish their respective legacies, and that's great, too. It's thrilling to watch the once-HBICs go down. It's clear from the previews that Andy is so totally over Ramona's delusions and habitual lying, but she is in some ways the heart and soul of this franchise, and I can't see her being dismissed. In fact, I think both she and Sonja are safe, though they should consider giving Sonja the ax, not because she doesn't provide any entertainment, but because it feels so horribly exploitative watching this woman struggle to crawl out from underneath her crumbling non-empire. Though, I did cackle when they called her out for talking about her bank-owned yacht.
I think Carole is in greatest danger of leaving. I adore her snarky sense of humor, but that won't be enough to save her. The drawn-out conflict with Aviva over her legitimacy as a writer was kinda fun for an episode or two, but then it became the major plot of the first half of the season, and I think we're all pretty sick of it at this point. And that's her problem, really; in her two seasons she's failed to find a worthwhile story for her housewives persona. I wouldn't be surprised if her contract isn't renewed. And even if they did want her back, I could see her leaving on her own accord now that she's had this season to promote her new book.

I agree with so much of this post! I agree with your points about aviva. I guess she's more of a teresa than a kenya. She doesn't really know how to defend herself when grilled, but she's so absolutely ridiculous that it clearly makes her the star of the show.
Ramona really had a season similar to "Nene" from her recent season. The viewers are really starting to be tired of their attitude, but they won't be let go yet.
Sonja needs to go cause unlike teresa, it's hard to feel sorry for her cause she continues to act a damn fool with her coins (not that teresa doesn't she's just really good at hiding it and acting like a broken victim).
The rest of the cast can definitely go but I guess they can keep Luann and Kristen to keep familiarity. Id rather them stay over Carole or heather.
Aviva is just the lamest of the lame. Thank god she has a peg leg and a purse full of meds that she can pull out for comedic effect.
I love that Andy just wouldn't relent with the Ramona and Mario stuff. Get her where it hurts. It was so satisfying to watch her squirm and "actually" (seriously, count the number times she says actually any time she's asked to defend her character) her way through that interrogation. Oh, I'm thinking they will have tensions for a long time to come.
