I was team TIHWD ever since PRISM snippets and I always saw something special in this song. It's just a carefree fun pop song, so I don't understand the hatred for it at all. This is also the first time I see her fans boycott single choice so much and I don't get why. It's ok to not like the song, but to constantly spread negativity is pointless. So I suggest you to go out, blast this and enjoy the summer while it's here.
