They made their money back from PSN though.
Just like Amazon sells the Kindle Fire at a loss and makes the money back through the Amazon store.
They may have sold the PS3 at a loss, but they make it back through sales. It's the other part of Sony's market (Phone's, Vaio laptop's etc) that were causing them to lose money.
The PlayStation brand is very successful. Unless it has a Vita after it.
Y'all better watch out when them big-name exclusives come out.
