Asleep - Remixes released on iTunes
Ellie Goulding just released a remix EP for her new single Asleep.

The first track on the remix EP features Hayley Williams, the lead single from Paramore.
She sings the 2nd verse and the final chorus with Ellie. The extended version is 51 seconds longer
than the original. It has a 3rd verse and a 4th chorus. The next song is an acoustic version.
Tracks four, five and six are remixes. The music video, which will be available on Wednesday
after it premiers on MTV, Vevo and GMA, is number seven on the EP.

Ellie Goulding on Rising Star  (300+)
Ellie Goulding appeared on Rising Star on Sunday and became the first guest singer to perform live.
She sang her new single "Asleep" that she and her record label have been promoting a lot. Before she
performed, we got to aske her a few questions...

I: Hi, we're backstage here with Ellie Goulding, just seven minutes away from her performance.
So Ellie, are you nervous right now?
E: No, not really, I've done a few performances on "big" TV Shows but I was never the first person to perform live.
I: Why is your label putting so much promo into this new single?
E: Sheezus Records put a lot of money into this new era so we all hope that I really blow up and become a huge popstar
with this album. They only started and I'm their first artist but we're getting along really well. I've had a
#1 album on the CAL Charts before but Sheezus Records hope that "Asleep" will be my first #1 single. That would be
great start for the new era.
I: Is the new album done yet?
E: Almost, I'm just finishing up the last 2 songs. I want this album to be perfect. It should be release in a few weeks,
maybe before August...
I: Ok, we're out of time. You can rest your "voting fingers" while Ellie performs her new single live!
Ellie looked up as the lights turned on. She was standing at the microphone wearing a blue dress. Her vocals were
good but the performance only got interesting at the chorus, when four backup dancers came out and did some
choreography with Ellie. The official lyric video was being played on a screen at the end of the stage.
The audience clapped at the end and the judges complimented Ellie and her vocals, looks and dance moves.

"Asleep" Lyric Video (300+)
Ellie Goulding released her new single "Asleep" on Monday. It was available for download on iTunes at midnight.
The official audio was uploaded to Vevo and Youtube staraight away. Sheezus Records also made a few radio deal
so "Asleep" will be played on at least 30 stations at 8 AM. I however think that the radio deals were unnecessary,
the song is catchy enough so it will get plenty of airplay anyway. "Asleep" is an indie pop song like "Starry Eyed"
so I think that the public will enjoy it. Sheezus Records also uploaded a lyric video for "Asleep" that was recorded
and edited by Ellie Goulding herself. It got one million views in just 2 hours and #Asleep was trending on Twitter.
Here's a description of the lyric video:
The song starts playing and we can see a dark corridor through an old camera. The camera is shaking because of the person
holding it. The lyrics of "Asleep" appear on old paitings and on steps as the person goes upstairs. This place looks like
a castle, with webs and dust everywhere. Right before the 2nd verse, Ellie turns the camera around, shows her face and smiles. She
doesn't have much makeup on but still looks beautiful. The 2nd chorus begin and Ellie runs upstairs. She turns the camera around and
we see an almost invisible ghost chasing her. She tries to hide but all the rooms are locked and the corridors are empty.
The ghost is no where to be seen so Ellie walks downstairs. She trips and drops the camera. It falls in slow motion to the ground floor
with the lyrics appearing on the screen. The camera is damaged but shows Ellie escaping the castle.

Ellie: Hiiii! 
Interviewer: You're going to have an exclusive interview with Ellie Goulding and then she'll sing her new single "Asleep" for us!
So Ellie, have you finished up your new album yet?
Ellie: Not yet, I've made most of it but I have to write two more songs.
Interviewer: When can we expect the new album to come out?
Ellie: Probably at the end of the month. I'm not sure yet, it might get pushed back. I already did the photoshoot for the new album
and I have the title ready but I don't to rush it. It has to be released at the perfect time.
Interviewer: So if the album does in fact get pushed back, will you release a 2nd single?
Ellie: That depends on whether or not "Asleep" is a success. I know I've been promoting it a lot but so have all the other pop stars.
Overall, Sheezus Records plan on releasing 5 or 6 single. If the album doesn't sell, then it'll probably be 4 and we'll move on.
Interviewer: What other types of promotion do you have planned for this single?
Ellie: I've got a few interviews at radio stations, a magazine cover, lots of live performances on shows like The Voice or The X Factor,
I have a documentary and a mini-series that will air soon, a concert for a charity and I'll go on a few talk shows! This week is really
exciting for me, I've never been this busy.
Interviewer: Are there any collaborations on this album, what artist would you really want to collaborate with for another album?
Ellie: I can't reveal that  , but I'd love to collaborate with either Rihanna or Bruno Mars. I already made a song with Katy
Perry for my last album but if I hadn't that I would have picked her.
Interviewer: When is the music video for "Asleep" coming out?
Ellie: It's coming out on Wednesday. I can't wait for everyone to see it!

Ellie had a live band behind her. She sang an acoustic version of "Asleep". Her voice was mostly good but a little pitchy sometimes.

"Asleep" played in constoversial Colgate ad/commercial (400+)

Ellie Goulding new single "Asleep" was played in a very controversial ad that has gone viral. Colgate
recently announced a new product that left everyone in shock. It's a mouthwash for dogs that they can
swallow, it's called... Colgate: Canine. It has been proven to be effective and can help dogs get less diseases.

The screen is split into two. A dog and a man are shown running into the toilet. They both have mud on their
backs. They start licking a dirty toilet bowl and run away 5 seconds later.
The next scene shows them looking through a bin and picking some rubbish off the ground. They both chew on
the rubbish and spit it out. After that they jump into a puddle of mud. At the end of the day they both
wash themselves and the man brushes his teeth. The dog sits beside him and waits. Suddenly, a bottle of
Colgate: Canine appears on the sink. The man runs into the kitchen to grab a bowl. He kneels down and the
camera zooms in while he pours some Colgate: Canine into the bowl. The dog drinks it and the man finishes
brushing his teeth. The dog smiles and flashes his white teeth at the camera. The final scene shows the dog
in a desert. He runs into the distance while a man with a deep voice says "If you can keep your mouth clean,
why can't they? #BuyColgate:CanineInYourLocalSupermarket!, it's available in yellow, blue,
green, red, orange, purple, pink, black, white and brown." Ten bottles are shown, each one has a different color
of Colgate: Canine in it.
The ad is criticised by many parent who think that it's a bad influence for their children. Many fear that thier
children will start licking toilets and eating rubbish just like the man in the ad. Right now there are over
200 parents protesting outside the Colgate Headquarters. Every two minutes they scream out the words
"Save Out Children". The ad was posted on Colgate's official Youtube channel and has over 10 million views in
22 hours. Ellie Goulding's single has been rising on iTunes every since the ad aired. Colgate plan on making

Ellie Goulding on The Voice
Ellie Goulding performed her new hit single "Asleep" on The Voice on Monday (14th).
Interviewer = I || Ellie - E
I: This is the second time singing your new single Asleep live, are you nervous?
E: No, I was a bit nervous when I had to sing it on Rising Star the first time but now I'm much more confident.
The choreography isn't that complicated and I've been practicing for weeks! The first performance went
well so I'm sure this one will too.
I: Yes of course. How did you manage to collaborate with Hayley Williams for the Asleep Remixes EP?
E: We're really good friends. One day we met up and decided to write some songs. She came up with the
idea and I though it would be great for both our fans
I: Ok your performance is up. Make sure to buy the Asleep Remixes EP, it features 3 remixes, a Hayley
Williams collaboration, an acoustic version and an extended version of Asleep!
Ellie ran onto the stage with ten dancers. She was wearing a blue outfit and two silver bracelets. She stood at the microphone at the start but danced as soon as the chorus started. She took off the black jacket that she was wearing as her dancers brought drums onto the stage. They handed her two drumsticks and she played the drums throughout the 2nd verse and chorus.
She stood up and destroyed the drums while pre-recorded vocals were playing for the bridge. In the final chorus, orange balloons were falling from the ceiling as Ellie danced. There were also green balloon falling onto the stage. They exploded after a few seconds, spraying Ellie and her dancers with water. Everyone clapped when the performance was finnished.

Groundbreaking Clear Channel Premiere for 'Loverboy'
Things for American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift just keep getting bigger as she released her brand new single from her upcoming seventh studio album. 'Loverboy', a Giorgio Moroder produced track hit iTunes this morning along with other sites such as Amazon where digital downloads are available. As soon as it was released the song shot straight to the top spot on iTunes, becoming Swift's first solo number one on iTunes this month following the release of 'Psycho' and 'Gunshots' which both were features. With the swiftness of it's ascend to the top, we are beginning to wonder if it was Taylor Swift who fueled the success behind the collaborations released prior to 'Loverboy'. The uptempo love song which is about a desired one night stand has also been well received by critics who called the song "catchy" and absolutely "addictive". Though most critics have been favorable of the song, others such as Spin Magazine haven't. "Taylor Swift has traded in her phenomenal songwriting lyrics for lyrics that are nothing forgettable. Giorgio Moroder delivers as does Taylor Swift vocally. But lyrically the song is one of Swift's worst. If this is what to expect lyrically from her next album, Miss Swift can say bye to her future songwriting awards." Prior the digital release, the song received a major premiere. This premiere is similar to the one done with 'Favorite Kind of Trouble', a record breaking collaboration between Justin Bieber and Taylor's Swift label mate Eric Saade, who is expected to be releasing very soon. 'Loverboy' was sent to radio stations at midnight last night where over one hundred, two hundred and three stations to be exact, would be prepared to premiere the song simultaneously. The premiere occurred at noon this evening where they played a little audio message from Taylor Swift herself. "Hey you guys it's Taylor Swift and I have a little something special for you. Sorry for no warning but you're about to hear the lead single from my upcoming seventh studio album. This is 'Loverboy'. Enjoy!" Taylor then went off the air as the song premiered on stations such as KIIS FM, Z100, AMP Radio, and more. It garnered over thirty million audience impressions just from it's premiere as it entered heavy rotations in most pop stations immediately. We saw the amazing response a similar deal that was done by Tigerlily Recordings for their leading male Eric Saade. So we can't imagine how this deal will turn out for the legendary Taylor Swift. Tigerlily Recordings can expect another top five hit for sure. With the music industry booming with sales, you could very well expect Taylor Swift to be amongst the top ladies as she still seems to be able to keep up with the new competition almost ten years into her career." Other executives have said the deal could hurt Swift as well as the burnout rate could be quick to kill the song. Either way, you will be hearing 'Loverboy' everywhere you go for sure.
