Both girls became friends even though Marina was wayyy more popular. Charli's maximum views on VEVO reached 2M. Now, in 2014, XCX is predicted to be the next big thing since she has hits like I Love It, Fancy, Boom Clap.

Marina was too concentrated on this whole 'Electra Heart' character to care for hits in her last era (or that's what it seemed like). But now EH is gone maybe she will step it up a bit, hopefully. I'm expecting hits this time round

Hmm well Marina worked with Dr. Luke who is one of the world's most reliable hitmakers so no idea why she didn't blow up. I think her material is great, so I do feel bad that she didn't get as much success but I don't think she is upset about Ellie or Charli's growing success.
Nope. God planned her career that way. After those artist blew up, there's many reasons why they aren't helping Marina: 1 being her lack of ambition.

She made 11 ****ing videos for her sophomore videos and was so ambitious about it that she even bankrupted her label. She kinda desperately collaborated with mainstream producers to get moderate hits Primadonna & Heartbreaker, in result of that - lost lots of fans.
There must be something wrong but I don't get it. She has everything. Even the iconic heart on her cheek would make her memorable.

When Primadonna was on the radio, everyone was asking why she sounded weird.
Luckily Australia is more open and made it a hit. She has all the right material, but she has to strong of an accent.
The US and places like it seems to really like the UK music that features less of a British accent. Look at Lily Allen. Her first album sold 3.5 million yet the US who usually make up a bulk of the sales, attributed to less than 25%.

If Marina (not that I ever want her to) sang Primadonna in a US accent like most singers tend to do, Electra Heart would have done MUCH better in the US as a whole.
Honestly, no. I doubt she felt bad that her friends are more successful than her. She doesn't seems bitter to me.
