Yeah. I'm careful about dragging Gaga though, seriously think she had a breakdown during the DWUW era from November to January, when she was painting some pretty dark and grotesque things. Beyoncé also stood up for her too by posting that picture on her birthday.

But don't forget the "this is a fun singer" when she was hosting that radio.

Tbh things have been pitted against Gaga to the point that anyone would have done the same. Nothing she did this era was met with anything but immediate Madge stans (among others) going to town in comments sections and forums around the net dragging her to the pits. Perez added to it, and before long mainstream media had began using Artflop crap. Nobody even talked that way about BJ despite how terribly it did.

She started acting like a bitch who doesn't care. I'd take that over the BTW-style mess that tries to be PC 100% of the time. Nobody is like that. She can support anti-bullying and be pro-gay rights without living her life like Gandhi.

I know things were very hard for her so I won't really blame her but Artpop was not a "flop" until she herself started to believe it and exited all public media. It was still doing good on charts until she just vanished.

Well, no one dragged Britney Jean because Britney's already had her "flop" moment with her Blackout era, which even did better than ARTPOP, all things considered. But she's already gone through that period and proved that she could come back from it with Circus the year after. All Gaga's done really is dig an even deeper hole for herself, what with "G.U.Y." being one of the biggest bombs of all time. She hasn't staged any sort of comeback. Not yet, at least. But we know it can happen for her. The question is "when?", or whether she even wants to.

It's not like she didn't have any merit to be though. This whole era has been nothing but "ARTFLOP" this and "ARTFLOP" that. It's annoying. The fact that the critics engaged in it too is just bleh.

Poor Gaga she's such a martyr. ARTPOP is the album of the millénium and did not deserve any of the backlash.

I hope after Cheek to Cheek (that era is going to be a mess too) she gets it together. The decline in everything (singles, power, relevance, albums, tour, etc) have her really bothered, so maybe this time she will try to serve something nice and pleasent to everybody (musically) and still manage to have her edgy commercial image.

She has set herself up in a very hard position were everything she does is going to be dragged because she talked so much **** about everything that is successful that she's going to be dragged no matter what.
