Bonnie McKee reveals more details about her upcoming 'Summer Smile' US tour.
The Smile singer has just arrived home in the US from a promotional trip to Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea in order to promote her single "Smile" and special edition of her new EP 'Young Love' across Asia.
Starting next week, Bonnie McKee will begin her 'Summer Smile' US tour, featuring all of the tracks from her new 'Young Love' EP, including the hit single "Smile", plus some extra tracks from her forthcoming studio album, including "American Girl" and "Sleepwalker".
There will be 30 dates of Bonnie's 'Summer Smile' tour in total. The first 15 dates will be opened by Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo, while the latter 15 dates will be opened by Scottish DJ and singer-songwriting sensation Calvin Harris.
Bonnie hopes the tour will expand on her US fame, "The reaction to "Smile" and the 'Young Love' EP has already been really positive so far, and I just can't wait to get on the road with Tove next week! We have lots of special things planned. There will definitely be entertainment., and lots of surprises. I'm so excited just thinking about it!"
McKee also has plans in the works for a worldwide tour, but only when the time is right, "I feel it's too early for me. I'll be waiting until I have my new full studio album out before I start my worldwide tour. For now, it's just the US. But I'll definitely be touring Europe, Asia and Australia as well, when the time is right."
The tour supports Bonnie's latest release, her new EP 'Young Love', which in the US features 7 new tracks, including the hit single "Smile", along with other popular tracks "Young Love", "Look What U Got" and "Disaster". Across Asia, a special edition of the EP was released, featuring new cover art, and three new tracks, including B-side "Murder" and two remixes of hit single "Smile".
"I'll be performing "Murder" on the US tour," Bonnie confirms, "so my US fans will definitely get to hear it! I'll let them know to record it on their phones, and where they can get it if they want. But it's definitely going to be a regular on the setlist."
Bonnie also confirms the official Calvin Harris remix will be used in the tour, "I think [it will be used]. Maybe as an interlude or something. We'll definitely do something with it, anyway, Calvin did an amazing job reworking the production so it still sounds like "Smile", but it's very fresh! But it won't be part of the performance of "Smile", which will be saved for the encore, the big finale!"
"Smile" and the 'Young Love' EP are currently available on iTunes and in stores worldwide.

Bonnie McKee shooting new music video(s)?
The American Girl was spotted on set of what appeared to be a new music video shoot this morning. The hard-working star appears to have her next days mapped out for her as she was rehearsing what appeared to be new choreography for an upcoming music video. New costumes where being tried and tested with her backing dancers as they also ran-through the "Smile" choreography to the Calvin Harris remix of the song.
So new choreography and new costumes, as well as rehearsing the older choreography to the official Calvin Harris remix of "Smile"? What's going on here, Bonnie? It would appear that Bonnie's currently working on not one, but TWO brand new music videos before starting her 'Summer Smile' US tour. The move is quite clever, as Bonnie will have limited time in between tour dates to promote as it is, and having the music video for her new single already shot will help with its release.
No word yet on what exactly the second single will be, but rumour has it that title track "Young Love" is the favourite, and that a single has been chosen. All songs from the 'Young Love' EP were heard playing on site, and no information was given by either Bonnie or her label Sphinx Records as of yet. Promotion is still focussed on hit single "Smile", as well as the official Calvin Harris remix of the song.
The first video that we managed to see Bonnie working on definitely appeared to be for the official remix of her hit single "Smile". Label-mate Calvin Harris was also spotted at the music video shooting, which helped fuel the rumours. Bonnie and her backing dancers wore some rather futuristic-looking silver decorated jumpsuits, and it is believed that the music video will be "outer space" themed. We're not quite sure how that ties into the "Smile" theme yet, but we're confident that Bonnie can make it work!
The second video could be for anything. Bonnie and her dancers appeared to be working on some new choreography that we have not seen earlier. Unlike the "Smile" choreography, there is a lot of teamwork and lifting required. There are also more female backing dancers than seen in the "Smile" video. Could this reveal anything? It looks great, regardless!
Rumour has it that Bonnie will be working hard to get the remix video for "Smile" out before starting her 'Summer Smile' US tour. The other music video, for the second single from the 'Young Love' EP, will be released the following week. That's two music videos in two weeks! Insane, if you ask us, but then again it is Bonnie McKee!
Both "Smile" and the official Calvin Harris remix are available on iTunes worldwide today, and the 'Young Love' EP is available both in stores and on iTunes now!

Bonnie McKee releases the official video for the Calvin Harris remix of her hit single "Smile" today.

The music video begins in the year 2114, with Bonnie being cast as an astronaut on a mission to Mars. Bonnie says her goodbyes to her family as she boards the giant, gleaming, futuristic spaceship, shamelessly called the 'Young Love Explorer'. In an instant the spaceship launches into infinity, and the beat kicks in. As the first verse begins, Bonnie, who is now in one of the supply rooms, strips down to a silvery one-piece and starts grinding on one of the industrial pine lines. She precedes to fall to the floor, touching herself on the cold ground just to feel something. It then cuts to a scene where Bonnie enters the captain's chamber and spins the captain's chair around, setting the spaceship to autopilot, and the chorus begins. Bonnie gives the captain - who is played by Calvin Harris, nevertheless - a risqué lap dance, and captures the attention of the other astronaut crew members - her backing dancers. For the breakdown, Bonnie joins her backing dancers for a run-through of her "Smile" choreography performance, in front of a startled and impressed Calvin. For the second verse, Bonnie shoos the backing dancers away and seals the captain's chamber and expands the clear viewports, giving the illusion that they're floating in space, with nothing else surrounding them. Bonnie then sits atop Captain Calvin, straddling him in his chair. He gets a cheeky grin on his face, as she pushes the "hyperdrive" button with one diamond-encrusted stiletto. As the ship engages hyperdrive, so do the couple, as things steam up and Bonnie starts making out with Calvin. Calvin then stands up and pushes Bonnie against the clear glass wall, and it appears as if she's about to fall, but she does not. All the while the scene intermittently cuts back to Bonnie dancing by herself in the supply room, singing the lyrics. The ship then reaches its final destination; Mars. As Bonnie and the crew exit the spaceship, Bonnie plants an "American Girl" flag into the surface of the planet, and Bonnie and her backing dancers, in all of their silvery-futuristic-astronaut of 2114 glory perform the "Smile" choreography dance sequence on Mars, with Captain Calvin DJ-ing along. At the end of the video, it cuts back to Bonnie who is sleeping in a capsule on the spaceship, and it is for a moment assumed that it's all a dream, before Bonnie awakes and a shirtless Calvin Harris approaches Bonnie and says, "Morning", smiling, and kisses her on the mouth, before walking off to the captain's chamber. Bonnie smiles and winks, as the scene fades to black.

Bonnie McKee steams it up for her brand new music video, which has caused quite the controversy among both fans and parents of children, especially within the UK!
The Smile singer is risking everything with her latest music video... literally! The risqué clip features America's favourite pop star Bonnie McKee in a silvery one-piece grinding on a pipeline, controlling a spaceship with her feet, giving the captain of the spaceship a lap-dance - while on active duty! - and dancing on Mars. Just another day for Bonnie McKee, we're sure!
The video has already sparked a lot of controversy with fans of the song, which has been marketed to children through the UK's Mind Candy Moshi Monsters promotion. Fans of the game can purchase Bonnie McKee's single "Smile" in the UK to receive special codes to redeem rare items for their game. Parents are "outraged" at the new music video.
One mother shares her story, "I was watching my children play with their Moshi Monsters toys outside and all of a sudden I saw one of my daughters rubbing herself all over the swingset! She's only six years old! I went out there and told her to stop doing so immediately, and she answered, 'But Bonnie McKee did it mummy!'... outraged, I decided to check out the video for her latest single "Smile" and out disgusted! What kind of role-model for young children does she think she is, selling our children her music and then preceding to dry-hump the ground!"
Bonnie apologises for any problems that have occurred as a result of the video's release, "I'm very sorry to anyone that may have been offended by my new music video for "Smile" with Calvin Harris. This mix of song itself is aimed more at a teenage-to-young-adult crowd, and I didn't consider it being a problem for children. I have talked with my record label and the music video will be age-restricted. The children can still enjoy the regular version of the "Smile" video."
Others weren't disappointed by the video however, and praised her. One fan claims, "It's great to see Bonnie stepping out of her comfort zone and trying something new. She could continue to box herself in as this all-American good girl, but it's nice to see that she is taking this risk and posting something that's a little less safe. I think the risk paid off, too... look at the controversy!"
Bonnie says that she doesn't regret shooting the video, "Ultimately I'm happy with the final result, and I know it's different for me, but it's really nothing that far removed from my 'Sleepwalker' video, which had a lot of violence, and even a scene where I made out with another woman. It's really not that big of a deal! I'm happy with it and my label are happy with it so it will remain online, just age-restricted."
The "Smile" singer's new mix of her hit track is available on iTunes worldwide. Bonnie McKee's debut EP 'Young Love' is also available on iTunes and in stores now.

Bonnie McKee finally reveals the second single from 'Young Love' EP.
The Smile hitmaker is moving on after the recent drama and controversy surrounding the release of the music video for her official remix for hit "Smile", with Calvin Harris. The video has been both praised and criticised for its risqué nature and multiple rough make-out scenes, and scenes of Bonnie allegedly 'touching herself'. Miley Cyrus received similar complains about her music video for "Adore You" earlier in the year.
"The new single has been chosen!" Bonnie reveals, "My new single is "Young Love", the title track from the new EP, and it will be released as the second official single soon," Bonnie confirms, after much speculation that this would be the case. "It's coming next week. I've already shot the video for the song, and it's currently being edited. I'm starting my US tour next week also, so I won't have much time to film a music video in between shows and promotion, but I'm excited to get on the road again!" Bonnie shares.
Bonnie filmed her new video alongside the controversial "Smile" remix video. Could this video receive similar backlash to her last? Bonnie thinks not, "No, I doubt this video will be criticised much. It's still very interesting, but it's not as 'naughty' as my last video," Bonnie winks. "It's a romantic video. I think a lot of people will be able to relate to this one. It's all about thinking back on young love, remembering the good days, the times when everything was perfect, and how much things have changed. It may sound a little sad, but it's really not! Overall it's got a very uplifting vibe."
"Young Love" will be officially promoted as the second single from the EP starting next week. Until then, "Smile" and the official remix are still the main focus. "I'm still going to focus on "Smile", absolutely. But there's nothing wrong with having two singles out at the same time! I mean Iggy Azalea is dominating the charts at the moment with her tracks, so I don't see why can't do the same! Besides, "Smile" and "Young Love" appeal to two totally different audiences. One for the young, and one for the old, like me!" Bonnie laughs.
"I think my fans are really going to like this one. It'll definitely be a big hit in Europe, at least that's what my label thinks. It may do decently in Asia too, but right now "Smile" will still be the dominant single there. "Young Love" is more for the US and Europe for now, with special consideration to Europe and the UK after the recent backlash from Moshi Monsters fans. I think I may need to revisit my deal with Mind Candy," Bonnie grimaces.
Bonnie's latest hit single "Smile" is still available in stores and on iTunes across the world today, as well as her debut EP 'Young Love', in both physical and digital format. The official Calvin Harris remix of "Smile" is also available on iTunes worldwide, and the special 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of the 'Young Love' EP is available on iTunes and in stores Asia-wide, and on online retailers such as CD Japan for overseas fans to secure their copy.

Well, for all of my previous articles I'd always make up random newspaper titles, some ironic, some funny, etc. just to spice up my entries a bit. When I decided to do layouts for my entires this week I knew that I wanted to keep some kind of cohesion and I didn't want to make like 10 different layouts for 10 different newspapers so I decided to just limit it to two different types, alongside my Promo Spots and Sphinx Records info.
Because my label is Sphinx Records, I decided to go with "Ancient Pharaoh News" because it was similarly Egyptian themed and sounded good. Then I wanted the other one to be the complete opposite of that, so I went with something modern and timeless, which landed me with "Iron Phoenix News". From there I found the little title graphics and it was perfect.

Marina & The Diamonds releases new video of "Where The Diamonds Grow"
Marina & The Diamonds isn't quite done with her single, "Where The Diamonds Grow". Matter of fact, she just released the forth official video for the song, and this one might be the best one yet!

The video starts with Marina in a shower room with a few HOT guys. She rubs up on them as the song plays, occasionally singing along to the song. When she gets half way through the first verse, all the boys line up on the wall behind her, put their hands on their hips, and start twerking their asses off. The screen starts zooming in and out of each guy's ass as Marina struts to the first guy. She stands behind him while she looks at the camera. She rocks her body forward and fake-****s him while smacking his ass. She twirls to the next two guys and pulls them to her. She forces them to kiss each other as she grinds on their bodies, rubbing her vaginal area occasionally.

As the bridge starts, the screen shows a girl twerking and a city can be seen in the background. She turns around and smacks her ass, her face morphs into Marina's, and Marina winks at the camera as the bridge ends.

Marina sings the chorus as the hot guys behind her shower. The boys rub each other's bodies to clean each other. Marina rubs her boobs as she sings. Marina starts to twirl as she sings until the chorus ends.

For the next verse, the screen shows women twerking. When each woman is done twerking, their faces morph into Marina's face. The Marina clones line up and start making out with each other as the one Marina left sings the rest of the verse.

The video ends with Marina in the shower again. She walks up to three of the boys, forces them down, and then puts her fingers near her vaginal area to make it look like she has a penis/gun. She starts shooting the penis gun at the hit guys' asses. She pulls up two of the guys and they start making out with each other. Marina pulls up the last guy and finishes singing the song by saying "You'd be kidding yourself, If you said that you didn't want it. And I'd be kidding myself, If I said I didn't think I'd be rich, yeah!" before she pulls in the guy and makes out with him as the video fades to black.

I literally can not make a good, serious video. My lyric video is the only video that is remotely serious. It's so hard using gifs is so much easier, though.
