Show! Music Core
South Korea is the next stop for Bonnie McKee, show joins Show! Music Core to promote new EP 'Young Love', as well as single "Smile" with an epic performance.
I: Here with us today is a big star from the USA, please welcome Bonnie McKee!
BM: Hello everyone! It's lovely here in South Korea.
I: We're glad that you could be here with us today.
BM: I'm so very glad to be here!
I: Your brand new EP 'Young Love' has just been released here in South Korea, this is very exciting news to all of your Asian fans! Is it exciting for you?
BM: Yes, very very exciting. Probably even more exiting for me than my fans! *laughs* It's been such a long journey getting to where I am now, but now that I'm here it's just made it all worth it.
I: If I'm not mistaken, our very own 2NE1 helped to spark your success here in Asia, what has that been like?
BM: Yes, I'm very thankful to 2NE1 for posting their amazing cover of my single "Smile" online, as soon as I saw it I knew it was something special. From there, it just blew up! I knew I had to do something special for my Asian fans, which is why I released the exclusive 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of my debut EP, 'Young Love'. In fact, a remix of my single "Smile" featuring 2NE1 is actually on the new edition!
I: That's so great that you've acknowledged their help and have welcomed them onto your track. Such amazing news! Will this version ever be released outside of the EP?
BM: You mean as a single? I don't think so, it's just something special for my Asian fans to enjoy from the new EP. But there has been a remix of my single already, the official Calvin Harris remix of "Smile" has been sent to radios and clubs around the world, including South Korea! It's quite different from the original, but it's still got the same message! It's just a little more dance-oriented. But it still brings a smile to my face, and I hope it does the same for others!
I: It's a very cool dance song! Now, you're here to perform the new song for us today! Take it away.
Bonnie performs a brand new mix of "Smile", sampling element from both the original version and the Calvin Harris remix. For the final chorus, 2NE1's vocals are also added into the mix for the Korean audience. Bonnie performs her choreography with her backing dancers that she performed in Japan, and shows her fans how to do the simpler steps.
I: That was such an exciting performance! Was that 2NE1 that I heard?
BM: Yes, it was actually a mix of the original version of "Smile" and the two remixes of the song, which are available on the 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of the 'Young Love' EP, which is in stores now. It's also on iTunes, so download it!
I: Does the iTunes version have any additional material?
BM: No, both the iTunes copy and the physical copy have the exact same amount of songs, including a copy of the music video for "Smile". But the physical copy contains a signed lyric booklet with some more photos of me, so it's definitely worth getting the physical! *smiles*
I: That sounds great! I think it would be useful to have a how-to guide for that choreography. It must be tiring explaining it all of the time!
BM: Oh, it's really no big deal, I enjoy showing others the steps! But I might just keep that in mind.
I: Well, thank you Bonnie for the interesting interview and very exciting performance of "Smile"... we look forward to seeing you again sometime!
BM: Thank you, it's been a pleasure.
I: Bonnie's new single "Smile", as well as the EP 'Young Love', are available online and in stores now!

Kesha: My Crazy Beautiful Life S03E02

Sunday the 6th of July saw the second episode of Kesha's very own reality serie, My Crazy Beautiful Life, air on MTV.
In the last episode we saw Kesha sturggle with the restrictions Dr. Luke has put on her and her voice, Pebe Sebert giving Kesha advice and Kesha walking into Luke's office as she demands a conversation with Luke about him denying he the rights to her own voice.
In the second episode, we see Kesha walk into Luke's office and as she sits down Luke calmy asks her: "What is it that you want to talk about?"
Kesha: "You denying me the rights to my voice! I have the right to sing whatever I want and do whatever I want and you can't stop me! You're basicly keeping me as a hostage right here!"
Luke: "Kesha, sis. Remember who made you big? Remember who gave you a chance in the music industry? Remember who produced your album and made you appeal to the general public? Remember who encouraged you to lose weight to make guys drool over you? And don't forget about those pictures we made when we were dating. So, get back to work, lose some more weight cause you still fat and looking like a fridge and finish this goddamn album. Stay away from your mother when you're working on new music, cause she's a bad influence to your music! Now get to work before I drop you and you're back to working at Burger King again."
Kesha: *cries*
Luke: "Without me you would be nothing so be a little more humble and appreciative. Anything else?"
Kesha: *storms out of the office*
The next scene sees Kesha eating a bunch of crackers but throwing it all out again as she cries her eyes out. One of Kesha's friends Savannah joins her in the kitchen and tries to ease her a bit, but Kesha can't control herself as she trows up again. Savannah is starting to worry about Kesha's habits and warns Kesha's mum Pebe. She herself has also been worried and the pair discuss how they can confront Kesha, without shooing her away or making her feel threathened.
The pair decide to just ask hera bout her eating habits and immense weight loss, as that is in their opinion the best way to talk to Kesha. As they confront her Kesha breaks down as she tells about Dr. Luke's antics, her desperation to lose weight and her conversation in the office.
The episode ends as Kesha tells the 2 she needs to lay down for a minute as she feels light in the head.
Kesha's new single, 'Beautiful Mess', is out now on Itunes, Amazon and physical copies are available at your local supermarket.

Marina & The Diamonds at The Breakfast Club Power 105.1
Marina & The Diamonds stopped by The Breakfast Club to promote her new EP, talk about her San Francisco popup show, and more...
DJ Envy: Morning everybody! It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club and we have a special guest with us: UK singer Marina & The Diamonds.
Marina: Hey!
Charlamagne Tha God: You did a pop up show yesterday, didn't you?
M: Yeah, in, uh, San Francisco.
Angela Yee: You also went to Azealia Banks' concert last night, right?
M: Haha, yeah, as like a break from all the crazy promo.
AY: How was the show?
M: It was great, she is a great entertainer.
CTG: I also saw the cover you did of her song
M: Yeah, for my Netflix special. It was an outtake performance that we didn't put in the final setlist.
AY: Why! I loved it, I thought it was amazing!
M: I had a few more covers for the set and I decided I just wanted it to be my songs. Maybe I'll upload the other covers one day.
DE: You also announced your album title last night, called Myths.
AY: I like that name!
M: Yeah I told the fans at the San Francisco popup show last night, just so it'd be special.
CTG: Now what does the title mean? I know the songs on your EP, too.
M: It's just like, the stories your significant other tells you. You don't know the truth because they have such elaborate lies. Myths, basically.
AY: Can you say who you have on the album?
M: Well. Diplo is on it. Dr. Luke did the EP, as well as some of the songs on the album. Pharrell did a few songs. Theres three songs with features, but I can't really say who they are.
DE: Alright thats all we have time for today. It's been great talking to you, Marina. Good luck with the EP and your upcoming album.

Zendaya & Taylor perform on Graham Norton
Zendaya and Taylor Swift made an appearance on Graham Norton Show earlier today, and during the show, the duo performed their latest collaborative single "Gunshots", which, in fact, debuted at number one last week on the CAL charts and sold over 600,000 copies in its first week. First, they showed up on stage to perform the song. The performance started with Zendaya singing couple of lines in acapella, trying to show off her voice, which wasn't as good as usual, probably because she has been doing a lot of singing lately and it's normal that her voice is not that strong, but even if it was more sharp, Zendaya still slayed those few lines anyways, she did a great job with those vocals. On the show, with her, there were about twenty other people - fourteen dancers and a live band as well. Once she was done with those few lines that she was singing in acapella, Taylor then joined her on stage and they performed the rest of the song together, dancing and just having fun on the stage. After they performed, Zendaya and Taylor walked off the stage and joined other guests as they sat down on those comfortable looking couches.
Graham: Girls, I just watched a clip of your performance on Germany's Next Top Model earlier today, and let me just say - wow! You girls are smoking hot, and I don't know if I'm allowed to say that because Zendaya is still underage, but let me risk that, because seriously, wow! How did you manage to perform there in Germany and to come over here as well?
Zendaya: Oh, no, that performance was pre-taped actually, me and Taylor went there a couple of weeks ago when we still had some free time to shoot couple of performances. We did Germany's Next Top Model, and we also did a Wetten Dass performance, I don't know if I'm pronouncing it right, but yeah, we performed for that show as well. I think that episode will air tomorrow, or today, I'm not really sure.
Graham: You two must have really busy schedules...
Zendaya: Yeah, we do have really busy schedules, although we have a little bit more of free time this week, because we hit our goal - "Gunshots" reached number one, and this week we're just wrapping up the whole promotion plan by promoting it in United Kingdom. It would be really cool if "Gunshots" would hit Platinum as well, but that will probably happen eventually anyways, so we're not worrying much now. Last week was crazy, honestly, it was performance, interview, appearance, singing, greeting fans, and all over again every single day.
Graham: What's next for you two?
Zendaya: Well we're basically just wrapping up the whole promotion tour for "Gunshots" now, and then we're going to promote our solo material. We both have new singles coming up soon, and we are also working on our own albums as well. But we are going to still remain as friends, actually, because we became really close during this promotion tour that we did last week and this week.
Graham: Speaking of albums, Zendaya, what happened with your own album? I heard that it was supposed to come out tomorrow, but you decided to postpone it for a bit. What happened?
Zendaya: I would describe this delay as me chickening out. It's a bit messy thing and I really don't want to talk about this now, I explained all about this during my previous interviews and appearances, but let me just say that it's my own fault that it got delayed because I have these crazy fears and I'm also a perfecionist. Being a perfectionist sometimes can screw some things for you, but you know, it happens. I will hopefully release that album after my second single.
Graham: Second single? When is it coming out?
Zendaya: In a week or two. We're currently figuring out the promotion tour for that one as well, and it's on its way too. Basically everything's ready to be released, we just need to book some promotion slots and appearances. I think that it's coming out in a week or two - most likely next week - but I don't want to promise everyone a date because I'm not sure what might happen again, and stuff might happen right before its release, just like it happened with my album.
Graham: I was really looking forward to your album! Well, good luck for both of you with your own material and stuff, and I hope we will have both of you back sometime on our show.

Kesha appears on VH1 top 20
27-Year old singer-songwriter Kesha has appeared in the latest countdown of the 20 most popular songs of the week (as voted by the viewers at home) on VH1. Kesha appeared on the show to share her opinion about the songs and present the top 20 and perform her own song live, with the video playing in the background.

Kesha gave her honest opinion about all the songs in the top 20.
The Top 20
#20 Bonnie McKee - Smile
~~
At #20 we've got Bonnie Mckee's 'Smile', which is down 10 places from last weeks #10. I love Bonnie as she wrote with me for a couple of songs on my previous album, but I just know she can do so much better than 'Smile'. I'm disappoined. It's decent, but if she offered this to me, I'd have rejected it.
#19 Dolly Parton - Not Through Loving You
~~
Next up is Dolly Parton with a new entry at #19. This is so not my thing. She should be long gone from the music scene. The song has nothing to it and it's just there.
#18 Reba McEntire - Tears of Yesterday
~~
Debuting at #20 is 'Tears Of Yesterday' by Reva McEntire. I like a little bit of country once in a while and this is a breath of fresh air for me! I'm definately buying this one when I get home! You go gurl!
#17 Rihanna - Juciy Cakes (feat. Brandy)
~~
I love me some Rihanna and this #17 debuting 'Juicy Cakes' is only an addition to her already huge list of Greatest Hits potentials. It's catchy, got the hook and Rihanna's vocals are serving me life!
She shoulda put me on that tho, instead of Brandy.
#16 Marina & The Diamonds - Where The Diamonds Grow
~~
Debuting at #16 is Marina Diamandis with 'Where Do Diamonds Grow'. I've followed Marina since I heard Primadonna, but I am really not feeling this. It's a major stepdown from her previous efforts. I'm praying she comes up with something a little more in your face and catchier the next time.
#15 Danity Kane - Lemonade
~~
Danity Kane's long awaited debut single 'Lemonade' enters the chart at a disappoiting #15. Is it too urban? Or just not good enough? I think we're dealing with a case of we tried but failed to produce a great comeback single. Sorry girls!
#14 Natalia Kills - War, Lies, Love, Money
~~
Natalia Kills entered the chart at #20 last week with 'War, Lies, Love, Money' (what a horrible title to pronounce), but this week she rises 6 places to a new peak at #14. I've always rooted for her and I'd love to collab with her some day. This incredible bop is another flawless addition to her discography and I'm buying this as we speak!
#13 Foxes - Hearts and Daggers
~~
Foxes' 'Hearts and Daggers' rises from #14 to #13. I really don't know this girl, but I do know she featured on Zedd's Clarity. The song is a bit of a non-event and I really don't like it that much. She has a gorgeous voice, that should definately be put to great use on her next single!
#12 Kylie Minogue - Circles
~~
Falling from #6 is Kylie Minogue's 'Circles'. A shame this song is kind of flopping right now as it's definately up there with 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' and 'Into The Blue'. I hope she can return with another banger that'll do better than this!
#11 Zedd - Slay
~~
Zedd debuts at #11 with his latest single Slay, just missing out of the top 10 by a few hundreds of votes. I've worked with him on my new album and he's amazingly talented! This right here is one of his best efforts yet! It's short enough to be played regularly and long enough to rave to in the clubs. Flawless
#10 Mariah Carey - Libidinous Dream
~~
Trying to recover from her latest flop album, Mariah rises from #18 to #10 this week, to bag her first ever top 10. The song is amazing by Mariah's latest standards, but we all know that means it's just great in regular standards. Nevertheless I like the song and I wish her the best of luck with it.
#9 Beyonce, Kanye West, and Jay-Z - This Crown (Mine)
~~
New at #9 are 3 legends on one track, Bey, Jay and Kanye. This track slays Kanye's complete discography and is definately up there with Bey's and Jay's best songs. I actually purchased this the other day and it's been on replay ever since!
#8 Katy Perry - Baby Girl (I'm Yours) (feat. Nicki Minaj)
~~
Falling form the dizying heights of #3 is Katy Perry's Nicki Minaj collab, Baby Girl (I'm Yours). The catchy bubblegum pop song is a definate guilty pleasure of mine and as a fellow pop girl I congratulate Kelly on this amazingly catchy song! Call me Katy, we need to catch up!
#7 Britney Spears - Gimme Your Best
~~
Britney debuts at #7 with 'Gimme Your Best' as 'Deranged' falls out of the top 20 from its debut position of #19. I like 'Deranged' more than this, but this is really good too! It ***** all over Britney Jean and she's back at her Femme Fatale level again! Slay my life Brit Brit!
#6 Zendaya & Taylor Swift - Gunshots
~~
Debuting at #6 are Zendaya and Taylor Swift with 'Gunshots'. Taylors rabid fanbase voted like mad for her, but forgot about 'Psycho', which falls to #21. 'Gunshots' however is an awesome tunes, that Im actually covering at some upcoming events, so I love it so much right now. Zendaya's voice is surprisingly great, it's grown a lot.
#5 Kelly Clarkson - You Don't Need Me
~~
Kelly Clarkson rises 13-5 this week as 'You Don't Need Me' catches on with the VH1 public. Kelly's powerful voice is complimented on the track and the amazing lyrics really hit you quite hard. I've used this song in one of my setlists last week also and the audience seems to love it. It seems like a massive hit in the making.
#4 Azealia Banks - Vibes
~~
Azealia Banks is this weeks biggest riser with 'Vibes' as it rises 13 places from #17. Azealia is my favourite rappers ever and my goal is to record a song with her in the coming year. 'Vibes' shows off Azealia's rapping skills and flow as she works her way through the awesome beat. Future #1 please!
#3 Christina Aguilera - Nighthawks
~~
Opening the top 3 is Christina Aguilera's 'Nighthawks' which jumps up 4 places from #7. 'Nighthawks' shows us a new side of Christina's voice and I definately enjoy it! She should use it more as the result is amazing! The urban beats really suit her voice.
#2 Medusa - Rihanna
~~
Rising to #2 and just missing out on the #1 spot is my favourite Bad Girl Rihanna with her best song by a landmile 'Medusa'. Medusa shows off Ri's sexy side even more and it's just a straight up bop! Dance with me people
#1 Kesha - Beautiful Mess
~~
Okay guys, it's time to announce the #1. I am truly humbled and amazed to announce my own song 'Beautiful Mess' as the #1 song of the week. I want to thank all of you voters for voting for my song and I am truly grateful for the succes of the song! So sit back and relax as I will be performing the song for you live!
*Kesha then proceeded to perform the video edit of 'Beautiful Mess' live, with the camera switching between Kesha and the visual.*
Kesha's new single, 'Beautiful Mess', is out now on Itunes, Amazon and physical copies are available at your local supermarket.
