Bonnie McKee heads to Japan in order to promote new single "Smile" and EP 'Young Love'.
The Smile singer has headed over to Japan in order to promote her new material in hopes of increasing the popularity of her music with the Asian music market. Last week, popular Korean girl-group 2NE1 covered Bonnie's hit "Smile", bringing attention to the track across Asia.
Now, Bonnie hopes to capitalise on this with some extensive promotion throughout Asia. First stop is Japan, where Bonnie will be performing new hit single "Smile" and securing an interview.
Bonnie also reveals that she will be releasing a special 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of her debut EP 'Young Love' especially for fans in Asia.
"I want to make sure that my Asian fans see that I really do care about them too, so I'm releasing a special edition of my debut EP 'Young Love' across Asia. There will be three bonus tracks; one B-side track that didn't quite make the cut for the EP, as well as two special remixes of my hit "Smile". There's also new cover art... I just can't wait for my Asian fans to see it!" Bonnie spilled some of the details about her upcoming Asian-exclusive release.
Bonnie recently released a remix of her hit single "Smile" with Calvin Harris, which may potentially be one of the two remixes Bonnie referred to. The second? Well, rumour has it Bonnie was seen hitting up a Japanese recording studio earlier today and there is possibility of an official 2NE1 remix of the track being made. More confirmation on this is needed, however.
No word yet on what the extra 'Young Love' B-side track could be. "American Girl", perhaps? "Sleepwalker"? Something new entirely? I guess we'll just have to wait and see. But one thing's for sure, new cover art sounds like an interesting way to engage both new fans and collectors.
Bonnie elaborates on the new cover, "I wanted my Asian fans to have something extra special with this release, so we did redo the cover art... it's not entirely different, but it has been tweaked. I wouldn't say it's better than the other cover, but it's definitely different! I think my Asian fans will love it."
Following her time in Japan, Bonnie plans to promote in Hong Kong and South Korea before heading back to the US to continue promotion for her US-release of 'Young Love' and new Calvin Harris-assisted remix of "Smile", as well as tending to her charity, the Bonnie McKee Foundation.
Bonnie's charity, the Bonnie McKee Foundation, will continue to use the original version of "Smile" in promotion of the charity.
Bonnie will begin promotion in Japan imminently.

Beyonce performs on Ellen
After only performing 2 weeks ago on the Ellen show, Beyonce surprised us again by making another appearance on the show, but this time, all by herself. The show opened with the performance of Beyonce.
Beyonce arrived on stage wearing a black and white Carolina Herrera short dress with matching heels and performed her Top 10 single which features Jay-Z & Kanye West. She got some help from background vocalists even though her voice was as perfect as usual.
She then changed her outfit to a Red Versace dress with Black Alexander McQueen heels to perform the latest single 'Enraged' which also features Kanye West and Rihanna.
After the two performances, Beyonce sat down for an interview:
Well it's great to have you back Beyonce!
It's good to see you too ellen!
So tell us, Are the rumors that you are quitting Variety Records true?
Well, they were. We were supposed to be going away by next week but we decided we would stay but we agreed that we wouldn't promote much anymore.
'Count The Kills' has an interesting concept, have you ever thought of doing a follow up to it?
No not really. I like 'living for now' in Pepsi's words. I don't like to look back and recreate things I already created.
Will you release a new single from 'Count the Kils'
I would like to but I'm not sure, We're currently discussing it with my label.
Beyonce then got up and thanked the crowd before leaving.

Also, I just realised I have work all day tomorrow, so I need to finish all of my articles tonight... I have 11 left. So I have less than 2 hours to finish them all... ugh I really didn't want to rush this but I don't have much of a choice.

Zendaya & Taylor perform on Germany’s Next Top Model
The pre-taped episode of Germany's Next Top Model just aired on German television channel, and Zendaya, together with Taylor Swift, performed their latest collaborative single titled "Gunshots" on that show. Germany's Next Top Model is one of the most popular television shows over there, so Zendaya's single rose on iTunes charts over there the same moment as they performed over there. Zendaya and Taylor were doing promotion in United Kingdom at the moment while Germany's Next Top Model episode was airing, and it was later confirmed by Zendaya's label, Republic Records, that the episode was pre-taped about two weeks ago, when the girls had more free time, before their official promotion tour all around the world started after "Gunshots" was released. Zendaya and Taylor performed on the show right when it was time for models to walk down the runway, and both girls performed their track "Gunshots", which definitely was perfect for this part of the show, since it has perfect beat for a good runway show. Zendaya and Taylor instantly showed up on the runway once show's host, supermodel Heidi Klum announced their performance in German language by saying something like "these girls are responsible for one of the biggest hits all around the world. Performing their new single "Gunshots", please welcome my personal favorites, Zendaya and Taylor Swift!" For this performance, Zendaya and Taylor appeared on the stage alone, without back-up dancers or a live band, probably because it was hard enough already to perform on a small runway with a lot of models walking around with them on the runway, so it was a good decision to keep the amount of people on stage as minimal as possible. Besides, it's not like that Zendaya and Taylor need extra back-up dancers and a live band to serve a good show - they always manage to do that with or without them, so this performance was good anyways. Zendaya and Taylor walked on stage together at the same time as the intro played and they were doing a little dance moves as well as they were walking to the center of stage. Both of them looked super hot as they chose to wear similar outfit - Zendaya was wearing a sheer white button-down shirt with black and tight bralet underneath it, and she chose to complete this sexy look by wearing denim shorts and white Louboutin shoes, while Taylor rocked out a crop top, which showed off her beautiful toned and flat tummy, denim tight shorts and a pair of the same Louboutin high heels that Zendaya was wearing as well. The performance itself was really simple and Zendaya and Taylor stood in the center of stage where they performed throughout this whole performance, while about thirty models were walking around them on the runway/stage in their summery outfits like shorts, crop tops and something like that, and that basically explains why the singers wore those revealing, summery looking outfits. The biggest surprise during this performance was probably when Taylor sang the bridge and the remixed version started playing, as all of the models stepped aside while Zendaya and Taylor both walked down that runway together holding each other's hands just like two best friends and they slayed everyone who were watching this show, because basically, both of those girls looked like worldwide known supermodels as they served those beautiful and tanned legs, and their walk on the runway was just phenomenal. Everyone, who were watching their performance at the studios where that episode was shot, stood up for those girls and gave a standing ovation. After that remixed version when they walked down the runway, they stayed at the end of then runway as models started dancing around them and it seemed like a cool summer party. Their performance ended just like that - Taylor sang the last chorus as every girl on the runway danced and just had fun.

Japanese Morning Show
Bonnie McKee's first performance in Japan is on a Japanese Morning Show, along with a brief interview and shares some quick choreography tips.
I: Please welcome, Bonnie McKee!
BM: Ohayō gozaimasu, good morning!
I: How are you, miss Bonnie McKee?
BM: I'm very well, thank you! I'm so excited to be here in Japan. It's such a lovely place!
I: Yes, it is. You have a new single "Smile" which has been released in Japan, and here we love your song!
BM: Thank you, I'm thrilled to hear that I have Japanese fans! I love all of my fans.
I: The new single "Smile" is currently doing very well on the charts all over the world, how have you reacted to this success?
BM: I've been very happy, very grateful for the success. It has meant a lot to me. Especially the support from my new fans in Asia.
I: You have a new mini-album coming out here called 'Young Love', this must be very exciting for you?
BM: Yes, it is very exciting! I'm releasing a special edition of my EP just for my Asian fans will will include some new songs that nobody else around the world gets with their copy. It's really kawaii.
I: Very kawaii! I look forward to it. You also have a new remix of your song "Smile" by big US DJ Calvin Harris, what is that like?
BM: I was so lucky to have Calvin remix "Smile" and I love what he's done with the track. It's definitely more for the clubs than the radio, but who knows, maybe it'll be a hit in both?
I: Now, 2NE1 is a group who is very popular in Japan, and they have recently covered your hit "Smile", how did you react to this?
BM: I really loved their cover of my song! It was very different, and exciting, and I'm sure it's part of the reason why my song is doing so well in Japan and across Asia right now. But it's definitely a good thing! I've actually been doing some recording with them recently... so we'll see what happens with that. *winks*
I: That sounds very exciting! Now Bonnie is here to perform the hit single "Smile", please take it away Bonnie!
Bonnie takes the stage and performs her hit single "Smile" with two of her backing dancers, and performs a simpler version of the choreography as seen in the official music video.
I: What an amazing performance! I love the dance, I can tell that everyone will be wanting to know how to do it. Can you show us?
BM: Oh, of course! All you have to do is...
Bonnie shows the interviewer and fans in the audience how to perform the simplified choreography in just four simple steps, and repeats them.
BM: See, you're doing it!
I: Oh wow, this is fun! The 'American Smile' dance, I shall call it!
BM: That sounds great! *laughs*
I: Make sure to purchase Bonnie McKee's hit single "Smile" on iTunes and in stores now! Also make sure to keep an eye out for the special edition of Bonnie's new EP 'Young Love', which will be hitting Asian stores and iTunes very very soon! Thank you for the performance Bonnie McKee!
BM: Thank you! I enjoyed myself. And thank you to all of my Japanese fans for helping to make this all possible!

Bonnie McKee reveals details about upcoming 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of her debut EP 'Young Love', as well as talks her new Calvin Harris remix of hit single "Smile".
The Smile singer has been in Japan promoting her Top 10 hit single "Smile", as well as the upcoming release of her 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of her debut EP 'Young Love' this week, and has finally shared more details on the upcoming release that is sure to thrill fans both in Asia and worldwide.
"The EP will have a brand new B-side track, as well as two remixes of "Smile". The new track is a track that I recorded along with the others on the EP but it didn't quite make it. It was actually one of the first tracks that I recorded for the EP and it just didn't fit the theme of 'Young Love'. It's called "Murder". It's still a great track, and I'm glad that I'm getting to release it through this 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of 'Young Love', as I doubt it would have made my debut album," Bonnie explains.
"There are also two remixes of "Smile" as I said, the first will be the Calvin Harris remix that has just been released worldwide. While this track will only be available on iTunes for the rest of the world, my Asian fans can have the track on the physical edition. The second remix actually features 2NE1, the Korean girl-group who helped "Smile" gain so much attention across Asia in the first place. We hit the studio and it just felt right, so there will be an official mix where 2NE1 sing both the second verse of the song and help with the final chorus. It's an anthem! I love the final result," Bonnie reveals more details.
"Finally a HD copy of the music video for "Smile" will also be included on this edition. So that's a total of three new tracks and a video. That's not a bad deal, if you ask me! I'm sure my Asian fans are going to love it," Bonnie shares.
This new edition will be available through online stores such as CD Japan, which can be accessed by fans outside of Asia.
"Oh, I'm sure that there will be fans outside of Asia who would like the extras, but that's not such a big deal. I wanted to make sure my Asian fans knew that I cared about them just as much as I did my English-speaking fans, so that's why I decided to give them a very special edition of my EP. It's not something that others haven't done in the past. And I'm well aware of online stores stocking my EP, so there should be no problem importing a copy if you're a super fan! *laughs* I encourage it, actually!" Bonnie claims.
Bonnie's single "Smile" is currently available worldwide, as is the standard edition of her debut EP 'Young Love', both in stores and on iTunes.

X FACTOR AUSTRALIA

The music played as Danity Kane strutted on the floor with a few male dancers as the electric guitar introduction played to “Rhythm of Love”. Everyone got into position as the lights circulated around the room. Shannon kicked off the song with her edgy and emotional vocal, as men moved in a circle outside the girls while Dawn and Aubrey repeated Shannon’s simple choreography. They opened up the circle, forming a horizontal line as everyone walked forward in-sync, impressing the crowd. They skipped Dawn’s pre-chorus, heading right into the chorus. As they sung the words, the girls waltzed around with the guys and they spun the girls. The girls just kept spinning until they hit each other in the center of the stage and began to jump in a left-right-left-left, right-left-right-right combo until the chorus stopped. Aubrey stepped up then, as each girl got their own man to do some more Urban choreography with. The men took their shirts off, making the crowd buzz a lot, as they all looked very fit and handsome. All the extra men then lined up in two lines, forming an aisle. And as Aubrey walked, she pointed at each of them who did a backflip, instead of falling down like dominos. She owned the stage, as Dawn transitioned into the pre-chorus. Everyone walked to the back of the stage as Danity Kane kept progressing forward. Her last word of the lyric started repeating via playback and a breakdown was happening musically.
The music transitioned into “Lemonade”, as the girls took off their sweaters, tied it around their waists and started getting right to it. The dancers remained in the back as Dawn rapped her verse, popping low and bringing the energy right to the room. The dancers came up, performing some type of routine not seen before in any performances as Aubrey started getting into the crowds of the studio with two of the dancers. She high-rived a little girl in the audience, showing the audience how sweet she can be even being known for a spicy attitude. Shannon transitioned to the pre-chorus with the men really nearing towards Dawn and Shannon at the edge of the stage, with Aubrey returning back to the stage. The vocals were very clear and on-point overall. Right after Shannon, they entered the dance breakdown as Tyga’s rap played in the back. Everybody slayed the breakdown, as the audience and judges were wow-ed by the presence and clean execution of the performance. Confetti was shot out with smoke as everyone stuck a pose, shouting: “Lemonade, lemonade” ending the performance.
The host came out to introduce the girls to the Australian public on television. They chatted a bit. When asked about what Australia was like, Shannon said: “Australia is so amazing, Sydney was really amazing and the energy at the beaches, and here tonight - you guys are so nice and amazing!” Also when asked about the new EP, the girls confirmed that it was pushed back a bit, but will definitely be coming this month. With this, "Lemonade" enters the Top Five on the Australian Singles Chart.

Bonnie McKee's brand new 'Young Love' EP has been released in Asia!
The special 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of the EP contains three bonus tracks, including all new track "Murder" and two remixes of hit "Smile", and the official music video for "Smile". This edition of the album is only available in Asian countries both on iTunes and for physical purchase, with physical copies of the EP available for worldwide purchase through online stores such as CD Japan.

Physical editions of the 'Young Love' EP available now.
New track "Murder" is perhaps the most exciting addition to this release. Bonnie describes it as "a dark, haunting ballad that's very much the opposite of what young love should be," which is perhaps why the song was left off the EP in the first place. Regardless, Bonnie claims that she's "very excited to be able to release this song," and that it's "a very special song to [her]."
The EP also includes the new Calvin Harris official remix of "Smile", and is the only physical copy of this version of the song, as it is only available on iTunes worldwide. This remix is currently taking clubs for storm around the world and it also getting regular airplay alongside the original single version of the song.
The second remix, featuring 2NE1, includes vocals from the girl-group in both the second verse and final chorus, after their cover of the song sent "Smile" skyrocketing in popularity throughout Asia. Bonnie is currently capitalising on this Asian support by promoting in Japan, and now Hong Kong and South Korea.
"Smile" is currently available on iTunes and in stores worldwide, as well as the 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of the 'Young Love' EP across Asia.

Zendaya performs on Sunday Brunch
Earlier this week, on Sunday, Zenadya stopped by ITV studios in London, to perform on the really popular morning show over here in United Kingdom - Sunday Brunch. Zendaya appeared couple of times during the show - first, she sat down on that comfortable looking sofa with the two hosts of this show and she talked about everything that is pretty much going on in her life - she explained what actually caused her album delay, she talked about her acting career, she also explained why she really wants to focus on her music right now instead of distracting herself with millions of other things, and she talked about Taylor Swift as well. Later, Zendaya reappeared once again, right before the show, to perform her new single "Gunshots", which went number one not too long ago. Sadly, but according to Zendaya, Taylor couldn't make it because Taylor was performing somewhere else, and Zendaya had to perform the song alone. She performed an acoustic version of this song, and she definitely slayed it. Although Taylor wasn't here, but Zendaya didn't sing her parts anyways and just let the audience listen to guitar sound instead.
Host: So a lot of people started questioning what is happening with everything when you announced that you've decided to delay your sophomore album, and it caused some talks. What actually went down with this album delay thing?
Zendaya: I don't know, I just basically chickened out, I think? It's pretty embarrassing to talk about this thing now, because it's my fault that this album actually got delayed, but I think that I owe this explanation to all of my fans. Basically what happened was that I've finished recording my album and everything was ready to be released - in fact, the album was supposed to come out tomorrow, internationally, all around the world, but a week ago I started questioning myself about everything - whether if it's actually perfect, whether it's right to release it. This delay was caused by two things - my fear and my obession. I'm fearing of this album underperforming, because I know that feeling when your album underperforms really hard - that happened with my debut album, which basically flopped really hard and debuted with only 7,000 copies sold, and of course, my previous label didn't like that at all and I was kind of punished, I don't know how to describe it. But the time that I've spent under Hollywood Records wing after that album was released was actual hell. They didn't let me to release any more singles from that album, they didn't give me any promotion, they decided to send my debut single, which was doing really good from the start, to radios only four months after its release, they didn't give me any budget, they didn't let me promote it... It was hell, for real. And I lost confidence in myself as mucisian. Although I started working on new music, I still had this fear, and I still have it, and I don't know how to get over it, because now that fear is causing me some problems and I just can't force myself to release my new album just because of that fear to underperform once again, and to also experience that hell once again. I don't think that would happen with my current label anyways, the wouldn't punish me like Hollywood Records did, but I just can't get over that fear and that's it. I hope I'll get over it soon, though, I'm trying to do that, because I want to release this album. And another thing that caused this delay was my obsession with trying to make everything perfect. I have this crazy obsession and I have no idea how to get over it as well, but yeah, when I do something, I have to make it perfect, and if I make it perfect, I still try to make it more perfect, if you know what I mean. I'm a perfectionist. A week ago, I started rerecording everything for the album, because I was trying to make it even more perfect once again, and even my producers noticed that as well.
Host: Do you know when's the album coming out, for real, this time?
Zendaya: I'm going to release another single from this album, it will come out in a week or two, and I hope that this second single will do as good as "Gunshots" did, because I just want to prove myself that I shouldn't be worrying about underperforming or anything. I don't know, I just have to find a way how to overcome that fear, and I think that by releasing this second single, I might overcome it. But yeah, the album hopefully will be out after the second single.
Host: Are you happy that "Gunshots" hit number one spot?
Zendaya: Um, of course? I literally don't know if there's an artist who wouldn't be happy to go number one with their single. It's crazy to think that I was really struggling with my past attempts to launch a music career, but this single basically changes everything. I still can't believe that it's number one, I mean... What? How could that happen, if I'm not that popular? I literally have no idea, but I'm sure happy. And I'm really thankful for Taylor, who is featured on this song, because I think it became that big just because of her, and literally, she just helped me to launch my music career, finally. It would have been pretty much impossible for "Gunshots" to go number one without her on the track. And not only I have number one single, but I also got a new friend with it. I couldn't be more thankful for everything.
Host: What's happening with your acting career at the moment?
Zendaya: I've decided to put my acting career on hold for some time. Acting wasn't really my main priority - I wanted to launch my career on Disney platform just because I wanted to become a singer. When I was growing up, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus - those girls were always releasing music, their music videos were amazing and those videos always had over one hundred million views, and I wanted that as well. So I started acting and hoping that I will get a chance to release music as well. Of course, Hollywood Records didn't offer me to sign the deal when I started acting on "Shake It Up", but I was still doing music, trying to break out in my own way, and my first attempt was "Swag It Out". It was a fun quick single, that probably made Hollywood Records rethink about signing me, and they eventually signed me. Of course, being signed with Hollywood Records was hell honestly, but I didn't give up and then I resigned with another label, Republic Records, who actually saved me music career. Now, I want to focus more on my music career, since I get a chance to release my music and my album and promote it, and I just want to focus on this for a while. I don't know, maybe I'll try acting once again something in the future, but as of now, I want to focus on recording music, I want to focus on promoting it and releasing it.

Radio Television Hong Kong
Bonnie McKee joins Radio Television Hong Kong for an exclusive radio interview about her new EP 'Young Love', hit single "Smile", and her upcoming tour.
I: And now we have Bonnie McKee. Welcome, Bonnie!
BM: Thank you! It's great to be here in Hong Kong.
I: Now, you have just released the brand new EP called 'Young Love' here in Hong Kong, and we have a very special edition of the EP, is that correct?
BM: Yes, Hong Kong, and all of Asia, has a special edition of the EP with three new tracks that the rest of the word doesn't! I wanted to do something special for my Asian fans, so I decided to include a few extra tracks. There's also new cover art, and a copy of the music video for my single "Smile".
I: Yes, the new single "Smile" has been doing very well here in Hong Kong lately I must say. People seem to love it and keep requesting it here all of the time! How have you responded to this international success. Is the Asian market one of your biggest now?
BM: I would say so! I've done some promotion in the US, the UK and Australia also, but the response here across Asia so far has been incredible! I feel so lucky to have so many great fans. That's part of the reason why I wanted to release something a little extra special for my fans here with the 'Asian Deluxe Edition' of the 'Young Love' EP.
I: Do you have a favourite song from the new EP?
BM: I love all of the songs! But "Smile" is definitely a favourite of mine, as well as "Disaster". I really like "Murder", which is one of the Asian bonus tracks, but it didn't fit the theme of the EP which is why I didn't include it on the worldwide edition. But I wanted my Asian fans to be able to hear it anyway!
I: What's next in terms of promotion for the EP?
BM: Well after Hong Kong, I have a promotion date up in South Korea, so I'll be heading up there next. For now, promotion will be focussed on lead single "Smile", as well as the official Calvin Harris remix for the song, which seems to be doing well in the clubs. After that, there will be a second single from the EP, which I can confirm has been chosen.
I: A second single? Are you able to tell us what it is?
BM: Unfortunately no, I cannot. *shrugs*
I: Any clues at all?
BM: Nope, you'll just have to wait and see. *smiles*
I: It sounds very exciting. Is it one of your favourites on the record?
BM: As I said, I can't really say anything, but yes, it is. Then again, I love all of the songs on the EP, so that's not really giving much away at all!
I: Now, you have a US tour coming up very soon, how do you plan to prepare for that?
BM: Oh, I've been prepared for the tour for a while now. I'm very excited about the tour! All of the songs on the EP will definitely be in the setlist, as well as a few other surprises I'm working on.
I: The tour is currently for the US only at this stage, is there any chance of you bringing it to Hong Kong and other countries in Asia?
BM: I'll definitely be touring Asia soon... but I don't think for the 'Young Love' EP. Definitely for my new album, though! Which is coming out later on this year too. I've been working on lots of new music, I'm very excited for this release! But right now, no. Just the US.
I: We look forward to seeing you back! In the meantime, how will you maintain the attention of your Asian fans?
BM: There will be at least three singles from the 'Young Love' EP, at least that's what my label Sphinx Records and I have decided. But that can be either extended or retracted if necessary. But at this stage it's definitely going to be three. As I said, the second single has been chosen and is ready to go. We're just waiting for the right time to release it. *smiles*
I: I'm intrigued now! I can't wait to find out what it is, and I'm sure all of your Asian fans cannot wait either. Thank you for joining us, Bonnie McKee!
