That's kind of my point though. Most other pop girls are not global enough to even be known in such countries and that's what makes someone global, not necessarily the total sales outside of the U.S., but how sales are distributed across the globe.

Basically, this. On ATRL, "global" or "worldwide" are synonymous with "outside of the United States". Hypothetically speaking, selling 6 million with 4 million of that in the US is better GLOBALLY than, say, 4 million with only 1m in the US to the average person, but on ATRL the latter is more GLOBAL because 3m > 2m (U.S is located on the moon, not part of the globe)

The term global or not is thrown specifically for artists who most of their sales come from one market, generally U.S. tho.

lol, Taylor is so massive in the US and sells 4 million there alone every era (more than other pop girls sell worldwide) so her international sales don't matter but RED still sold 2 million outside the US.

When we talk global we generally put in discussion singles and album sales. Since it is the purest form of music. Touring is much more complicated affair. When you put music out the exposure is supposed to be global and the reaction toward it by buying it or not is the best measure. Touring depends on the artist desire and capability to perform and handle a massive schedule ofc that comes together with demand.

Even if her single and album sales are "local" why would her tour do so well then? That is the question.

Even if you take out the U.S. from Beyoncé's last tour it would still be more succesful than Taylor's biggest tour.
