“While the duets seem like a strange pairing on paper, they work. The album flows nicely and there is something truly special here. Reba has managed to deliver the country album of the year. 5 stars!” Billboard
“Ryan Tedder and Reba McEntire seem as likely as a pairing as anchovies and chocolate syrup. But given how this album turned out, I may end up trying that combination too. I am not going to say I loved this album, but it was one of the best albums I have heard this year. 4 ˝ Star” Rolling Stone
“Reba McEntire can break your heart, or give you chills as she delivers the emotional tracks on this album. Suffocated Memories may be one of her most concise albums in years. A+” Entertainment Weekly.
“The duet of ‘I Will Always Love You’ caught me off guard. It wasn’t bad, but knowing the public feud it was awkward to hear. Otherwise, I really liked the album and feel it could be a hit for her. A-“ Spin Magazine
