Just a year and a half after her last visit to the Bell Centre, Lady Gaga was back Wednesday night to present her new artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball.
Again, the singer did not disappoint with a colorful show, punctuated by her many hits.
Wednesday, for her fifth concert at the Bell Centre in four and a half years, 13,889 spectators were present to witness the creation of the new scenic artist.
After the dancers ran with huge balloons, the star appeared, performing the title track from her latest album, ARTPOP. This is also with five new songs that Gaga planned to start the concert. A choice we could find questionable, but worked well, helped by the energy of the fifteen dancers around the singer.
After Artpop, G.U.Y., Donatella , Venus and Manicure, Lady Gaga followed up with the three huge hits Just Dance, Poker Face and Telephone. The crowd, which was already very strong, then became hysterical.
When she arrived, she was wearing her short curly wig, a black body suit, a diamond necklace and she brought Asia!!!!! As soon as she walked in she said: Can I buy anyone of you guys a drink? Its on me, i'm paying ... don't be shy!!! ..... nobody wanted one, just to be polite.
Then we talked to her for 40 minutes as a group. During that conversation she talked about how she is concentrating on her album with Tony, but she would love to put out a b-side album with tracks from the fame, the fame monster, born this way and artpop... not just an artpop act 2!
Then she talked about how she had a bumpy relationship with her record label... but I asked her how it was now and she said that they're in a good place right now. I also asked her why she doesn't perform dope during the show and she says that she is passed that song, that she doesn't want to think about that part of her life anymore and that she wanted the show to be positive and have a fun vibe.
Then, talking more about her jazz album, she sang a snippet of PARADISE... a song that she wrote for the record. She said it was inspired from a poem that her aunt Joanne wrote before she died. Its about how her aunt knew she was gonna die but she was excited to see what heaven was like. The song sounded SOOOOO GOOD I'm telling you. Then a fan asked her to sing a bit of lush life (she seemed annoyed at the point cause you could tell that her voice was tired).
Another interesting that came out of the discussion is that she told us that she is aware of how the ARTPOP single releases were a mess. She actually said that she wanted to release AURA as the first single... but then i asked her if she was sad that it leaked... and GUESS WHAT!!!! SHE SAID THAT SHE IS THE ONE THAT LEAKED IT!!!!! She was pissed at her record label so she created a fake account called "Borris" and she leaked the song! I don't know if she was joking but then i turned around and asked her assistant if it was true and she said yeahh :O
Finally, my last question was: out of all her songs, which one is she the most proud of... and she said: THE ONE THAT I AM WRITING RIGHT NOW.... that's all she said!
Oh and i also asked her if she was going to release another single from ARTPOP and her response was: I don't know would you like one?... and then i said yes... then she asked: which one?... and then i said gypsy and everyone else in the room was in agreement and she was like : Okay i'll think about it
I'm so pissed right now... Ticketmaster sent me an email for the Chicago show giving me all the info for ARTPOP Zone along with my ticket info even though I ordered Little Monster Zone Then they sent another saying oops sorry
So this bitch leaked Aura. It was probably the reason why Interscope didnt allowed Aura release as the lead single.
Poor Aura, it would smash soooo hard. That chorus is KILLER.
