The Purge had so much potential as a concept but literally every person I've talked to about the movie have all said it went to sh*t once it kicked in
The main problem is the screenplay. The son's decision that led to the Purgers to visit was utterly unbelievable, and therefore couldn't lead to a strong film. Same thing with the boyfriend. The concept is incredibly cool though. Dystopian stuff is always rad.

Agreed. I was hoping they would utilize the concept better in the sequel but idk the trailers aren't that promising
It is. Up there with it are The Spy Who Loved Me, Casino Royale, Skyfall, and maybe Thunderball. I think I'm the only one that really loves Thunderball though so you can just ignore that one. Sean Connery >>>>> all James Bonds tbh.
