How is it a lie? Pony had so much more impact, was a bigger hit than Try Again even though it went #1 and remains an R&B staple. Pony took music to the next level, kinda like OIAM did, but Pony saw a lot more success and the actual experimental material was pushed unlike OIAM which released the most bubblegum songs on the record (4 Page Letter, GTGIU, TOIGMHT & OIAM).

Like it or not, Pony is a bigger and had more impact than any Aaliyah song.

Incorrect. Ashanti and Ciara both have one album that is certified triple plat, another album that is certified as platinum. Ciara has no more certifications. Ashanti has a gold certification in addition to the other two. Aaliyah's last studio album was certified gold in less than a month before her death. Even if it wasn't, I don't understand why people suggest that Aaliyah's album or anyone's is purchased because they died. Did you buy it? Nobody's death is going to make me buy an album I had no intention of buying in the first place.

Im sorry, you said Aaliyah ''ditched'' Timbaland after 1 album, Now is 3 songs still ditching? Aaliyah stated she wanted to grow artistically which is why she moved onto working with static major on her 3rd album. (Dont forget Tim produced songs for her soundtrack work on Dr. DoLittle and Romeo Must Die)
Obviously she didnt ditch Tim on her 3rd album if they made 3 songs together
