This isn't 1992 anymore and the only reason why Gangster Rap happened was to express how these people really lived as black people in America fighting for resources and respect and millions of blacks could relate. Like I said, Hip-Hop is communication. Do you not know of any positive black rappers? It isn't all negative and it hasn't been cool to Rap about gang life and murder in years. Kendrick Lamar? Ab-Soul? Common? Joey Badass? Even early Kanye. All very popular, all very positive and communicating important messages to black people.

I don't want to sound racist but... I just feel like Hip hop & R&B were the only two music genere's that blacks perform well in & in a couple years whites take over hip hop then because of course there is always r&b but still.. if that makes any sense

"R&B" was a term coined by white men to distinguish the Black Rock & Roll artists from the Famous White Rock & Roll artist.

Eminem, Iggy, Mac Miller and Macklemore have good flow. There's nothing wrong with them doing rap/hip-hop. Even if some people find them corny, there are plenty of balck artists that are just as corny. The problem is when white people try to make it out as if white artists are the best or saviors of the genre just because they're white and white people like to buy their music more.

I think Eminem is one of the best definitely but to say white artists make better hip-hop/rap music completely discredits black artists.

Makes sense. White people did the same thing with Rock n Roll and Jazz to an extent. But at least they were actually good with Rock and brought something new eventually.

A lot of people thought he was black. He definitely doesn't sound like your typical white guy. White people speak from the throat/nose, black people speak are taught to speak from the chest/Abdomen. You might notice that when whites imitate Jamaicans and Africans they consciously deepen their voice.

Even back then you had The Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, The Pharcyde, De La Soul, etc. 90's hip hop was diverse and amazing. It was art.

Gangsta Rap was the ish 90's rap up until 2010 was gold . Rap isn't rap anymore . Let the whites have it . The new generation has tarnished it ..
