A #1 single on Top 40 shouldn't be relevant to an urban award show. BET is about hip-hop/RnB and Nicki has been serving to the hip-hop gods for over the past year. Even in 2012, she still served with Beez and RBMS.

I also don't see how her winning will ignite some sort of fire. I think Nicki's been on fire, but she's focused on doing HER, not trying to compete with Katy Perry's rapping cousin.

It's doing fine. It'll enter the Top 40 of the Hot 100 next week. It is #4 on the Hot Rap Songs chart, #10 on the Hot R&B/Songs chart, and in the Top 20 of the Rhythmic Songs chart.

The Hot 100 is really the only place is it is doing just ok on. The rest is pretty excellent if I say so myself.
