Pretty sure she'll send some country songs to country radio, but I don't think the focus will be on country anymore.

You do have a point. I just never see any country music fan calling Taylor a country artist. I feel like they already abandoned her a long time ago, ever since 2011, when they started snubbing her from awards and she started not getting as much country radio #1s as before. I just think Taylor has established her own niche in the market. A niche that will buy her albums regardless of genre. I've literally never seen anybody say "Oh, I like country music, so I'll go to Target and buy the new Taylor Swift album"

A girl from my school said that she doesn't think Taylor is country but still likes her music. That's how I feel most of her fans feel too.

If she goes generic pop, she will have a big opening but little longevity.

4 million people bought RED in the US alone in 2013....she can't lose her fanbase that much that she won't go atleast 3x platinum.

The country crowd still knows Taylor is their biggest star. They love and hate her for it. They're not going to just hand out all of the awards to her or praise her endlessly; she's become bigger than the genre and that's something fans of the genre are hesitant to embrace.

But her material is always well-received by country outlets and she's monstrously exposed and known by every country listener. She still gets great recurrent airplay on the format, she sells out anyone rodeo or country event she bothers to book, and she's generally the media focus of and mentioned at every major country event.

Well then I'm set on supporting her then this era.
I could care less if she does more pop music, but I don't want to see her totally abandon her country radio fans

OMG that was one time. Then again Rewind (by Rascal Flatts) went to #1 on Mediabase with some payola....

I don't see any reason to place too much doubt into Taylor's release this year. Low-ball predictions and claims of a decaying country fan base abounded prior to the release of Red and that turned out fine. She's more or less the most consistent artist of the 2000s in terms of sustained airplay, album sales, and general success. Regardless of whether she's going head-to-head with huge sellers (Susan Boyle), standing alone (Red), or somewhere in the middle (Fearless), she always seems to sell fine and consistently.

Taylor is here to stay. Although she is like the biggest sell-out of all time, she's talented and pretty so there are worse women in the entertainment industry we need to worry about (like Jennifer Lawrence for example).
