Her ass should have really gotten the back up lesbian to do it, her voice is ill. Onika's stay trying to pull them notes though and then in her live performances it's the same struggle. I love Onika but she is really not confident in her singing voice and it shows. So she should really refrain from singing until she's ready. This album only has one female feature so unless she samples all the hooks I will have to get used to it, it's okay though because her studio voice is getting better. The mixers are getting it right for the most part.
The mixers do an AMAZING job. As a few posters have said, confidence is key. If she gets coaching, learns her range, and stick to it, she'll be pretty decent. Maybe her and Drake can schedules classes together since they both can use some help in the singing department.
Y'all are mixing up tone with range. She has a sweet tone to her voice. Her range is what's seriously lacking.
No her tone is flat most of the time, range is how many octaves she can go. I'm pretty sure everyone can decipher tone from range and no one is confusing the two.
Also singing tone is different from her rapping tone and her difference in speaking voice. She is stellar at rapping and changing her tone, but her singing tone is basically one hit.
