Obsessed is a flop.
I'd give you Dreamgirls, which was a moderate hit, thanks mainly to Jennifer Hudson.

You're confusing some things. Beyonce was the lead female in Goldmember, she was not just a feature in it. You maybe don't remember her in it, but there are tons more who know about Foxxy Cleopatra (I'm a whoooole lata woman!).
Obsessed wasn't a massive hit but it still debuted at #1 at the box-office, and set a record for having the highest opening numbers for the week of the year that it was released in. Hardly a flop.
And Dreamgirls was not a hit because of Jennifer Hudson, she was not a main draw at the time of release. She did not make the film get the highest per-screen opening ever for a movie musical. Her performance likely carried the film further as time went on though.
