His discography is arguably more popular now than Elvis's. Elvis is a bigger overall icon but Bob Marley is definitely also more popular with the younger demographic.

I don't get these people trying to tell aging pop stars what to do. It's very ageist tbh if Madonna and Mariah want to act that way and release sexy songs who are you to stop them. They are at that age, you are not stop telling them how people that age should act
if your parents didn't grow up playing elvis/bob marley/etc. there is a high chance that you won't know their songs. it's not a big deal
i didn't grow up listening to either of them but i definitely see my peers talking about/praising/stanning for bob marley way more. elvis is a major fixture in pop culture but no one's really out here talking about his music
The amount of people saying they don't know Elvis and Bob Marley songs isn't surprising though. They are legends, so much so that they eclipse their own music. Knowing who they are is almost innate.
