This should of had 'Starships' type of promotion: A radio deal, big banner on iTunes and promo performances already lined up. I would expect this type of release to be for a 2nd single

This is a very good point. Maybe she has a bigger single coming or is doing a suprise album release. She should save the promo coins for then.

Based on things now? It should be more. Hr image was really been revitalized, and she tends to move more albums than singles. Starships was just an anomaly, and something that probably hurt her album sales a lot.

The way she promoted it, it was very good. The day she released Starships, it went to the top 10.

True but if that's the case she should of waited longer to release a single and kept dropping random remixes/buzz tracks
