Metallica haven't had a top ten hit since 1996 with "Until It Sleeps", which is their only top ten hit. Pink has had like 5? Get over it already, quit whining.

Does anyone know why iTunes removed Estelle's album and song from their catalog? That seems very strange, especially since the song had become a huge hit on the chart. And I'm surprised that the Tribute is doing so well, because that means that people really want to hear that song.

41-The time of my life
K, it has stayed in hot 100 for 13 weeks. That's the 2nd longest charting song for a winning piece on AI. It will take 7 more weeks to beat "A Moment like this". I think it can make it. Since the song on radio is still increasing on audiences and download has not down yet.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say Estelle wants to do the same thing Kid Rock is doing. She's probably wanting people to go out and buy the album instead of just downloading one song off of it.

That sounds reasonable to me. But I've never understood why artists wouldn't want people to buy individual songs from a CD. I mean, most of the time releasing singles on iTunes helps fuel album sales. And just think if Kid Rock did decide to release All Summer Long digitally. The song would without a doubt top the Hot 100. And it's going to be interesting to see how big of a drop Estelle suffers on the Hot 100 this week.

Yeah, Estelle is going to have a huge drop this week. Anyway, releasing a single does help with album sales, however, Kid Rock argues that the profits from the digital single will mainly go to his label and the iTunes store itself, leaving him with no money. Also, not putting the song on iTunes helps motivate the person to actually buy the CD. Kid Rock would probably not have had a huge surge in sales if it wasn't for ASL not being on iTunes. People who really want the song are now going to get the actual CD.

Can all of us at least agree that the top five looks pretty damn good? Especially compared to when Soulja Boy and Sean Kingston were up there last year. I haven't heard Pink's single but mostly everything else she's put out is great.

As far as Metallica not having top ten hit since 1996, my friend which loves Matel and rock said their music isn't as good as it used to be in the old days and that now she really doesn't like their music (I have no idea what time she means when she says old days but I'm guessing it's not 2-3 years back but way more..).
Maybe she's not the only one who thinks that way.
