I don't think you're understanding what I'm saying. At all.

Obviously albums had longevity. But if an album peaked at #22 saying it's 19x Platinum is a reach, even with certification. It would have had to been scraping like 50k per week for a decade straight.

And yes, albums in the 90's did sell more. I was referring to how those over certified albums pre-Soundscan are so much higher than albums after Soundscan despite 90's sales being bigger.
