Iggy sounds Australian when she talks and American (yet country) when she raps.

It's just like ADELE & Marsha Ambrosius. When they talk they sound European but when they sing they sound like they were born in NYC.

That's completely wrong too, you're saying they shouldn't be doing what they do because they are white. Is it wrong for Beyonce and Rihanna to do pop instead of RnB or being rappers? Obviously NOT.

Anyone can do whatever kind of music they want. That doesn't make it automatically authentic.

Anyway, anyone who doesn't understand the issues with mainstream America propping up Macklemore as the savior of Hip Hop or Forbes headlining that a "White, Blonde, Austrialian woman runs Hip Hop" does not need to having this conversation.

Of course its a fake accent she's imitating American rappers and its not even subtle. She wants to fit in. It doesn't have to be that way. British and French rappers often manage to avoid doing this so the genre does not have to dictate the accent.

And its so exaggerated. She'll never be authentic as a Hip Hop artist and thats the unavoidable truth.
