I will say though as I was gone that I feel like a lot of you worry about the wrong damn things. Gaga is a grown ass woman, and although I love her with all my heart, she can defend herself. Some of us put ourselves in a position to defend her for things that we're purely being baited on by the other fanbases. If you guys actually ignored it and let it fly, they wouldn't bother as much.
Meowster, to answer your question, I feel that being a Gaga fan is hard now a days. However, I've always felt that it was hard because even though many loved her she has always had just as many that hated her. Only now, there's many who just don't agree with her decisions as of lately for whatever reasons. Unfortunately, you're paying for years worth of Gaga fans bullying other fan bases back when Gaga was the top dog. It's not your fault, my fault, or Gaga's really.

I've been a pretty rubbish Gaga stan lately, tbh. I just wish people weren't so cruel to artists that they're not fond of. Nobody's making you like a particular artist, but then again nobody's making you be so hateful, either. I feel like the majority of members on ATRL live for the drama and animosity between stanbases and have no intentions of leaving an artist that they don't necessarily like be without constantly dragging them and putting them down. I'm not talking about occasional shade, but blatant insults towards their artistry and career choices.
Anyway, that aside, I'm no longer going to partake in any Gaga shading, regardless on my current views on Gaga as an artist after ARTPOP. I still love her. Monsters, please accept me.

ARTPOP seemed meh and pretentious at first, but ever since I've realized that calling Gaga is pretentious is just another meaningless word to tear her down. She says she is an artist, she creates music which is an art form, but because she is a pop star and a celebrity we deny her work any integrity and use that as another way to tear her down.
If she says her ****'s art, than it's art - and we need to stand with her.

Look at Paparazzi's MV. Or even Telephone's MV. So much of what she did during the time when she was destroying the world around her would be considered "try hard" and pretentious by the flops today who call her that.

I think the theme for the album should have been understated and cleverly introduced through an interview in which she revealed that the album is a collection of songs in which she feels that she is blending art( the fashion and everything) and pop ( the music) together on a record. The rest of the interviews could have just been about how the songs are made to party and be really fun. That's a much more strategic and less overbearing way that I feel she should have done it. But I will stand by her and I do love the album.

I've read a couple of your posts on the Kesha base and now this? Spill it sis, I like you
I haven't been posting recently for the same reasons tbh. I get genuinely sad with the negativity Gaga gets around here.

Listen, we're not going to get into this because it'll get off topic or devolve into flamebait, but I do have something to say on the hair/horse/puke debacle: these are really damn blatant similarities. Yes, they can be coincidence. Yes, they can be unintentional. However, writing them off as such while people take Gaga's similarities to Madonna and endlessly exaggerate them is not cool.
Furthermore, literally everyone is doing the most and being embarrassing over this. Gaga didn't need to subtweet Katy. Katy's friends didn't need to pull a DJWS. Those against Gaga on this issue don't need to make up ridiculous excuses to write off the similarities and even more ridiculous excuses as to why it's more okay for Katy's friends to come for Gaga than it is for Gaga's team to do the same to another artist. Gaga's fans don't need to push the issue and cause more unnecessary drama with the Kats. Pretty much the only one here who's being 100% mature and controlled is Katy, regardless of whether she "copied".

IMPORTANT: How to help "G.U.Y." on radio!
OK guys, there is a website online called RateTheMusic. Basically, radio programmers always look through a wide array of sources to determine what songs are potential hits that will draw in more listeners. RateTheMusic is one of those sources, and it has been proven to work (when “Applause” topped the Top 40 survey, it helped it rebound and peak in the top 5; topping the Rhythmic survey also helped “Applause” go top 20 on that format.).
This week, “G.U.Y.” was added to the top 40 survey. Here are the steps on how you can help the song:
1. Sign up for an account on RateTheMusic.com (remember that this helps for radio stations in the US, so if you live outside the US, use an address from the US and an accurate ZIP code, to make your votes more believable)
2. Take the Top 40 weekly survey. For your votes to count, you must go through every single song and finish the survey. For every song, there are 3 survey sections. The first asks if the song is familiar (do you know it, basically). The second asks your opinion on the song. The third asks whether you are tired of hearing the song. When you get to “G.U.Y.”, enter that the song IS familiar, that you “like the song a lot”, and that you are NOT tired of hearing the song.
3. Request the song on various stations across the US. GagaMedia has created a page where you can easily request the song. All you have to do is enter your name and enter a random code.
4. Spread the news. You can only complete the survey once a week, so it’s better to have multiple people completing it. Reblog the post on tumblr, tweet about the survey, tell your fellow fans on other social media platforms about the survey, etc.. It’ll all help to make “G.U.Y.” a hit.
Also, don’t forget to stream the music video on YouTube, and buy the song on iTunes.
