We're getting a song on May 5th. HOPEFULLY

I'm not expecting anything May 5th. The day could come and go without a release, announcement or single peep from Nicki and I wouldn't be surprised.

She's being playful and secretive this era, and whatever is gonna happen is gonna happen on her terms. The single will get here when it gets here.

In the mean time, I'm not gonna get hyped for the era to start only to be disappointed again like I was with the whole "Back To Red" thing (not that LAN didn't end up being amazing).

Let me speculate...

The single might have crossover appeal thus she isn't going to give it a DIOE/BITT-type video.
(Then again, it might just be because it is the *first* single and she wants the best of the best.)

If they need a stunt double, there has gotta be some action or something among those lines, so the single has gotta be sort of upbeat? Right? Idk. Just speculating.

Also, the fact that she is going to start shooting just two days after May 5th makes me feel like we are definitely getting the single and she'll tease some **** with us on that day by posting IG pics of her outfits and/or tweeting something like "Filming today (kissy face emoji)".

Wait, I didn't see Aatthew's post. Maybe I should be hyped.

Speculating more... She could just release a link for a pre-order to the single and actually promote it properly.

Maybe she was just tricking us so that we'd think it's another hype song but it's really the single.

If she's shooting a video it's definitely a single though.

I disagree. The way SB and her both tweeted May 5th at the same time made me feel like it was definitely the single. I know she announced it on a Monday (I think?) when we were patiently waiting to see if she was going to drop a new track and go through with her Chi-Raq outro, but I think she tweeted that to tell us she changed her mind and she was ready to move on to the album.



I also thought about her! I wonder if they will reach out to her if they can't find anyone. It's not like she is doing anything besides raising her son.
