I was asked about this and
went in-depth on why there is a chance that Taylor could do it....at least until her schedule says otherwise. It would probably be 2-to-3 months of dedicated group rehearsal time, but if her tour leg ends at the start of the Fall, it would fit in.
While Taylor might not do it, I have a feeling that Fox would be willing to spend a lot of money or cater to the demands of an A-lister for the sake of having maximum buzz.
They're not going to spend tons of money for a live show, just to have the Glee people star in it and draw in the Glee demographic (who will be watching Grease Live regardless).
They know that the biggest ratings in tv are coming from live, unpredictable broadcasts with big names.
