To be fair (and I'm a Demi fan too), DF was released in... what, 2008? When sales were bigger. She was also way bigger at that time as it was released following Camp Rock and she was associated with Jonas Brothers who were absolutely massive back then. The fact that Yours Truly, an album that was released last year, is only, what, 100k copies behind DF (and still selling) is remarkable.

Naturally is 3x platinum hun. That was in 2009-2010 after her first album with the Scene. If you don't want me to include the Scene I could just say Come & Get It was her first try as a solo artist.
It took Come & Get It about 3 months not over a year

Ariana is on par with Demi, but she'll never reach Selena's level. Selena is not only a successful artist, she's also relevant when it comes to the media, Ariana doesn't have that and idt she ever will. If Selena were to release a single right now, I guarantee you it would debut way behind Problem, but in the long run, would end up outselling it. Just how Selena works, she has never been a front-loader.
