I'm assuming the off-topic part is when you started describing a sexual scene he did in a movie? Yeah, the topic wasn't about his movie roles but rather his coming out as a person. You don't need to go into deal about what he did in a movie that may have made him seem gay. If the off-topic was you saying MLD looks like him then.. that's just not on-topic by any means.
