I honestly never thought that the 2007 VMA performance was that disastrous. But if you compare it to the last performance she gave before that it was the onyx hotel so
anyway if she didn't forget to lipsynch and was in better shape it would not be that bad. I mean Katy gets praise for some of her performances so it would still be a step up

I like the idea of the performance not the execution. If Britney did the performance the way it was intended to be from the start with proper choreography and lip synching then it would have been a great one.

I agree with Ozzy, had her looks be on point there wouldn't have been HALF the backlash there was. The only bad thing about that performance was Britney herself, the staging of it was pretty good and even the choreo was fine.

In all seriousness, she also looked drugged on that TTWE "performance", if I must say, as she acted like a perfect zombie.

During her "walk" she was barely holding herself, much like the at the VMA 2007. Obviously, the S&M opening managed to outshine the final one, and that also had an effect, but the only reason people didn't go IN on the TTWE "performance" is because she looked good.

At least on the Gimme More performance she ATTEMPTED to move here and there.
